To want US expats to know that you can vote in the UK for the Democratic primaries - no pre-registration needed

I only learned this this morning and I was genuinely surprised and pleased. Just turn up on the day with id (passport) and proof of residence in the UK. Voting places are in London, Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh and St Andrews.

The website above is part of the Bernie Sanders campaign but obviously you don't have to vote for Bernie!

Also, if you don't live in the above cities, you can vote by post. Deadline is March 8.

Very interested to know this. It brings back memories for me. The first time I voted in a US election I voted in Edinburgh.

Yeah, DH saw a mum at the school drop off this morning wearing a Bernie Sanders badge. He asked her where she got it and she told him about how to vote in the primaries.

I haven't voted in a US primary election for over ten years now so I'm very pleased to have the opportunity.

These elections are going to be interesting to say the least. The thought of either Trump or Cruz becoming US President chills me to the core.
