Just that.
I am on the 5:2 diet and did 4:3 this week. My reward that l have been drooling over all day is a Chinese Kung Po shredded chicken Grin.
Cue DH going to pick up said meal and a Chicken black bean for himself-then he helps himself to 1/2 mine and said l thought we could share...
No it's my bloody dinner-if l had wanted Chicken and black bean l would have ordered it.
I am now in a huff after a minor strop
My Friday night is in tatters Wink
IANBU am l ?

No you're not. Folk should never assume....I would be livid. Try not to reach for the chocolate or wine!! However I would cause I'm weak...! Well done though on a good week.

hefzi · 05/02/2016 19:01

I'd LTB. But I don't share Grin

InkleWinkle · 05/02/2016 19:02

Definitely LTB. This is only acceptable if sharing is agreed before purchase.

IJustLostTheGame · 05/02/2016 19:06

Yabu.
Because now I'm craving kung po chicken.
Grin

TheCarpenter · 05/02/2016 19:07

I would usually say share, he's your DH. But when it's that well earned treat, different game.

How is your night in tatters? Have you got Hangry going on? I hate hangry me. Go make up, say you love him more than Kung Po Shredded Chicken.

RhiWrites · 05/02/2016 19:10

Sharing involves asking, without asking it's just taking.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 05/02/2016 19:21

YABU for not sharing Chinese, It's The Law. Grin

I'm now going to get my own back on all those threads where other people are having Chinese and I'm not. Tonight DH are having:

Crispy shredded beef
Veg in spicy garlic sauce
Beef satay chow mein
Rice
Pancake roll
Prawn toast

Mwahah.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 05/02/2016 19:22

Ahem. DH and I*

TheCarpenter · 05/02/2016 19:23

Oooh Shredded Beef, I love shredded beef! Grin

littleleftie · 05/02/2016 19:24

Dear God No!!!! YANBU I would LTB

Leftie doesn't share food.

What is wrong with people??????

janethegirl2 · 05/02/2016 19:29

Sharing should be agreed first

Lambzig · 05/02/2016 19:36

DH and I don't share. I am sure that was one of the reasons I married him.

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 05/02/2016 19:36

Did you scoop it back off his plate?

Zariyah · 05/02/2016 19:36

I've never heard of a carry out meal but I'm totally going to use it now. Grin YANBU btw, suggesting food sharing when not planned is utterly disrespectful.

Jibberjabberjooo · 05/02/2016 19:38

YABU, Chinese is always shared!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 05/02/2016 19:41

TheCarpenter It's just not Chinese without shredded beef.

30 mins to go....

BTW how do you end up marrying someone without first checking that you have compatible policies re the sharing of takeaways! Confused I don't think DH and I would have lasted five weeks if he was a non-sharer.

thecitydoc · 05/02/2016 19:43

YANBU - I don't like to share either There is a very funny episode in Gavin & Stacy where this comes up and Nessa and Smithy find that they have something else in common as neither want to share their meal with anyone. Also in Friends JOEY DOESN'T SHARE

44PumpLane · 05/02/2016 19:43

GDH and I only share if it's agreed PRIOR to ordering. I have to be in the right mood to share- I like to order what I want to eat and not have to have half of someone else's (far less superior) dinner!

44PumpLane · 05/02/2016 19:44

*DH

OohMavis · 05/02/2016 19:45

Am I the only one wondering who on earth uses the term 'carry-out meal' for a takeaway? Grin

TendonQueen · 05/02/2016 19:46

Surely you made him return it to your plate uneaten? I hope you didn't let him eat it, or worse, that he hadn't already eaten it before telling you.

citydoc was also thinking of Gavin and Stacey. Brilliantly funny.

WitchWay · 05/02/2016 19:49

My DH always gets mildly huffy about Chinese as he likes to share, & while I have no objections in principle, he invariably chooses something I don't like.

Which makes me fussy & difficult, apparently Hmm

I don't share food... Luckily, dh doesn't want to eat anything I order, and vice versa! We are very compatible that way Grin

inlectorecumbit · 05/02/2016 19:50

Kung Po chicken tasted just brilliant and there was a wee bit left over Grin l think my stomach must have shrunk and Not so DH must have felt the resentful vibes radiating from me and left some for me.
Now what do l do? I am stuffed but if l put in fridge DD will devour it after she comes home from the pub later-do l take it to bed with me and put it under my pillow?
It's my precious (think Gollum -Lord of the rings)

Carry out is what my family in the Highlands say.

Sharing has to be agreed in advance. What a bastarding bastard.
