I know we all have shit days, I know we do but today I just want to walk out of the house and disappear.

Just go away from everything.

It's the relentless, monotony of doing the same thing day in day out.
Picking up, cleaning up, washing, cleaning, fill the dishwasher, empty the dishwasher, Hoover, dust, fold clothes, move from one room to the next trudging through the crap left by every one.

I only go out to work or to food shop.

I'm so Fed up & bored of it all.

Moan over, I'm going to make a coffee, then get dressed I suppose.

Do you not have anything else you like to do?
What would happen if you got up at 8am and just went out and dos something and left all the house stuff sometimes? Does nobody else help at all?

I feel the same, but I don't work. I could go a whole month without speaking to anyone except DH and the DCs. I do see PILs one morning a week for 30secs dropping off DC2. That is it.

I am sick of the endless housework, no one ever mucking in without a huge nag. DH is usually great with cleaning, but he has been stressed at work for the last while and he is sliding...I have naturally picked up his slack, but that made him worse, to the point that now I am doing it all. Hmm

It sucks, doesn't it. I don't even know what would make it better either.

Little ds 2 is a fucking nightmare to take anywhere. Screams his head off all the way round aldi, throws things out of the trolley, refuses to get in the trolley, continuously screaming trying to climb out of the trolley.
I end up holding him in there with one hand, steering the thing & putting the shopping in with the other.
I dread it.

I work long hours (50 hour's a week) my day off is spent doing all of the above, and fighting with a toddler.

Dh is working full time & doing his master's degree so is consumed with that, apparently his arms no longer work so filling the dishwasher is impossible....
I come home from work at midnight, to the tea dishes everywhere, the house a tip and dh at the table, head stuck in books.

DDs 2 doesn't sleep so I'm surviving on 4 hours sleep,

I'm going to speak to him about a holiday for us all. It won't be until summer holidays but it's something to look forward to.

Have you considered online shopping? Save your free time to do something else and it's less stressful with toddler

Too expensive, aldi is bargsinous! (Yet stressful)

Just put the washing on the radiators to dry, ds followed me round removing it all & threw it across the room.

Today, my friends, I need chocolate.

Go on strike. It would kill me to live in a messy house and I can't imagine ever leaving the washing up overnight, but I don't have a choice, as a lone parent. You do, so dig your heels in.

Ha, yes, I do this at weekend, leave for work at 6 am, don't look at it, leave dh with the kids and mess.
When I come home, previous mess is gone but replaced by New mess.
Feel like a nag, I have asked him over and over to please keep it tidy, he says no point, kids mess it all up in 2 million items again.

I fucking manage it!

You need to be more stubborn. DS(13) hasn't cleaned his football boots he needs every week for PE since I bought them in September. Not a fucking hope I will do it for him.

How old are the other children? I would get everyone tidying up more after themselves regardless of age. Even 2 year old. Move half the toys out of reach so they can't all be out at once, and get him to help tidy before lunch and dinner daily to keep on top of it. Same with older ones ( although they can tidy without your help tbh).

God that sounds tough. Poor you. Can anyone, anyone come and help just for an hour so you can sit and catch your breath? Sleepless nights are the pits. I'm fed up today. No sleep, screaming baby every time I stop feeding her, bored toddler, house upside down.… trying to get out but it's feeling like an impossible task! Flowers for you X

DH could perfectly well do his fair share of shopping and clearing up.

DH worked over 90 hours a week and studied for post graduate exams for 10 years.
He still managed to do the dishwasher every night and go to the supermarket on his way home from work at 9pm.

He also managed to take the older DC to sporting activities at weekends.

Totally get this. TBH it's not even the tasks that grind me down but the lack of recognition and the relentlessness. I try to embrace the monotony, stick headphones in and listen to music/podcast/radio whilst ploughing through - helps to engage one half of brain with something else as let's face it this stuff is mindless. Or, do top 3 things only and then leave the house even if just for a quick walk. Or, have defined time-limit e.g. I will do this for 45 mins then reward myself by ...
Fully agree about online shopping filling up time. I buy basic brands from supermarkets and Aldi is not much cheaper. Plus not actually going into store means avoiding special offers/buying crap I don't need, so overall cheaper.
