AIBU?

To ask how often you wash your dressing gown

I am at the conservative end of the spectrum on washing. Eg Towels are weekly. Wear my gown daily just to and from shower and bedroom, but bit worried - AIBU with lack of dressing gown washing in my house..

How often do you wash yours?

When I think it needs washing. Not very regularly.

You have already made me feel a lot better. My friend this evening in the pub said weekly. Mine is more like 2-3 times year (gulp)

I don't wear mine that often, maybe once a week in the winter and always over pjs so maybe a couple of times a year if that. It just hangs on the back of the door.

End of March before it goes back into storage until mid-November.

All ours are white towelling so I just chuck them in with the hot white wash on a Friday evening. Then they're dry and cosy and back on door hooks ready for Saturday morning tv time.

Hurrah I seem to be above the MN average on this one!

I kind of feel it's an item that is meant to fester a bit?

Winter one, when I think of it and it looks as if it needs it.

Lighter ones I tend to wash more often, probably because they get more crinkled than the thick fluffy one, maybe once a month.

i caught mine trying to crawl to the washer by itself last week. I dragged it back to the bedroom and chained it there until we get warmer weather. Maybe it was trying to tell me something.

I have also had my dressing gown for 14 years.

Trusty Boden one.

When it needs it. Once a year? Gets worn over PJs so no armpits or anything touching it, probably only work for a couple of hours every week over winter. Tho winter hardly st all!

Less often than I should. I keep meaning to but every time it occurs to me I'm wearing it. And it's warm. And I don't wanna take it off. Oops.

Ahem, I have one fleece, one towelling, one cotton and one satin. So probably 3 times a year for each. The fleece one is probably due for sheep dip a wash soon. Smile
