Zzzzzzzz. So deadly dull.

''John's pappa used to wear a red hat in 1963 ...''.

Whoopy do! Hmm

And Nicky Campbell has the most incredibly patronising voice. Sets my teeth on edge.

Yes agree.

Now on bing is flop the nicest nanny in the world. I mean he's an angel to out up with that brat. Grin

Yanbu. But my least favourite show is probably waybuloo. I can't stand the way those fairy things talk and the music. I also hate when baby Jake says oggy-oo (or whatever that noise is).

Yanbu. And where are all the working class families? It's all posh people with super duper houses and amazing jobs. What about Bob and his mum who works in Tesco or Anne and her dad who works in a factory etc? All equally interesting to a child. Can't stand it.

YANBU, DS briefly used to quite like it. I cannot fathom why a child's, relatives, story is remotely interesting to any other child at all, let alone making a TV programme out of it.

There's a version on history too. Ds had a telephone interview when he was 6yo. It was going to be about Shakespeare. It sounded quite interesting. But I've never seen it.

It's not the worst I don't think, Kate and mim-mim is just rage inducing Angry

My personal hates:

Teacup Troubles
Katie bloody Toerag

whifflesqueak · 19/01/2016 12:40

Kate and mim mim make me want to die or shower/get dressed/leave the house, so maybe it's a blessing

I love Sarah and Duck. I would probably watch it even if ds wasn't home.

I hate Kate and Mum Mim, Mim Mim sounds like another pet name for vagina.

I like my pet and me, but the music really sets my teeth on edge. Those presenters should never have been allowed to sing.

I always thought that My Story, Katie Morag and the other one with the pink taxi filled some kind of BBC quota for Scottish programming or something.

Do you think we could bin Katie Morag and My Story and ask them to bring back Space Pirates and Big Cook, Little Cook? Where did they go anyway? They went AWOL between dc2 and 3.

I only liked the My Story episode where one of the highlights of the footballers career was getting knocked out cold, and he had to explain to his grandsons about it.

I just shout at the telly 'what's wrong with putting her in a pair of leggings??' whenever Katie Morag has to run about the scrub land with bare legs.

Woolly and Tig is the pits. Moaning little shit

Report
whifflesqueak · 19/01/2016 13:17

and why does Tig always look so sickly? is it because she literally only eats fish fingers?

My people, my people!

Sorry, I vented, then went out. I thought no one would answer.

Yes to Kate and Mim Mim and yes to everything else. So glad it's not just me who winces through the Pet and Me intro. DH says i'm a cow for for it.

I think i've peaked over Bing. I've exhausted all my hate apart from this morning when he was wingeing about Flop being ill.

I agree with you all. Especially about space pirates. That was brilliant. Boogie beebies was good too. I used to love watching DS2 dance along and DS2 would love it.

Love Octonauts, Pingu and the Clangers. Hate everything else. In the Night Garden is the absolute bottoms though, IMO.

Oh, oh boogie beebies, I still remember all the moves to the excavator song.

I love the Octonauts. Shellington has taught me so much.

The one I really hate is me too. It should be illegal to put those awful earworms in your head before 6:30am.

Leonardo My son was on a episode of my pet and me a while back and I have since been left with the theme tune permanently in my head. Even worse my son knows this and do sings it on repeat trying to annoy me...

I quite like Bing. Not the character, the programme - Flop sets a marvellously unattainable standard of "dealing with toddlers".

Something Special is the favourite here, DD loves Mr Tumble. At least it's fairly civilised, not a frenzy of noise and overdone zany jollity like Mr Maker. Mr Maker's Arty Party makes me want to hide in a darkened room for a few hours.

maamalady · 19/01/2016 14:05

Also, Clangers is brilliant (why aren't there more episodes?!), and Baby Jake needs shooting. It's like one of those godawful bobblehead videos that people with a youneek sense of humour use for e-cards.

I just find watching the Clangers very relaxing! It's so gentle and the lovely music and dulcet tones of the wonderful Michael Palin. I think they only just remade it, so only the first series has been on plus the Christmas special. Hopefully there will be more.

Agree with everyone re Katie and Bing. Even my young daughter laughed and exclaimed what a twat (child words to that effect) Bing was when he'd dropped the towel in the bath or something.

Octonauts and Fatima Whitbread's Dinosaur/Prehistoric Adventures are the best. My brain has doubled.
