I've got a 9 and a half month old baby who is breast fed on demand and who I've never really left. She's big and healthy, and pretty attached to me.
Tomorrow night I need to go out to a funeral in the evening in another city. I'll be away from home 4-9/10pm. My husband will look after the baby (and our other child), and I know he'll look after her well, but I'm anxious.
- She is really bad at sleeping and nurses to sleep at bedtime. Husband can wear her in the sling about the house but still.
- I haven't managed to express much milk. I've only got about 2.5 ounces to leave in a bottle, and she only had her first try of a bottle the other day. I'll feed her just before I leave at 3.30 and when I return at 9.30 but I'm worried about what she'll do in the evening. She does eat and drinks water from a cup too.
Do you think this will be ok, just for tomorrow night? I can continue expressing tomorrow in the day and hopefully be able to leave a bit more.
