We are semi detached to next door and teenagers constantly paying music extremely loud which can be heard around the house. We have to put the volume up on the tele. We have DD whos 2 and is unwell, ive put her down for a nap but settle due to the noise and soon will have a newborn baby come March. Im aware people can make noise during the day but the level is so excessive. When they aren't in the dog barks constantly from 7.30-11. On one occassion they went away and the dog barked from 9 on the evening to 3am. I called envirnoment health in the end and. We were exhausted and knocked several times but no answer and were at my wits end. Have got a point or do i grin and bear it? I've tired knocking just to see if he could turn it down but no answer dont think he could hear me dispite the dog barking when i knocked.

Even if you take your kids out of the equation, you have a right not to have your peace disturbed in such an excessive manner.

I'd contact the council and see if someone can come and monitor the noise levels, if talking to him or his parents (does he live with parents?) doesn't work.

Yeah he lives with his parents. Not sure if hes at college about 17 years old. Parents went away before and they had the music on at 11 at night My DH told him to turn the music as we have kids in bed which he did but not sure if thats because hes male. From the last tentant this was a regular this with excessive musics and regular parties when the parents were away. I heard she actually stormed in the house as she was working a long 12hr shift and was being kept up after several attempts of telling them to keep the noise down.

If there was a 3rd house in my row I'd think you were living the other side of my annoying neighbours, you have my sympathy. My new neighbours have only been here a few weeks but I need to go and knock and complain at some point, I'm just fed up of having to do this with problem neighbours.

I'm at my wits end its the double base kinda music which is even worse when played excessive loud. I've got flu and think my DD coming down with it so could of done with a nap whilst she napped. I feel like escaping the house but theres no where to go.

I'm not normally one for complaining but the music isn't the issue its just the excessive volume of it is enough to drive anyone nuts. I could hear it from outside when i knocked. Trust you to be semi detached to the noisy side!

You need to complain! Go round there and knock until somebody answers and have a chat with them about the noise, if they are rude and/or the noise keeps going on then make a formal complaint to the landlord or council.
