TabithaTwitchEye Mon 04-Jan-16 13:22:16

I'm dying to know too!

hufflebottom Mon 04-Jan-16 13:23:36

Any chance we can find out about the one who had a letter from a prison saying that they were looking forward to catch up or something.

NotTheSpiceOfLife Mon 04-Jan-16 13:27:15

Also, what about the woman who had her Xmas dinner paid for in the pub and she didn't know who had paid for it?

Klaptout Mon 04-Jan-16 13:27:59

Do you think their letter was from Janet & Roy?

AnchorDownDeepBreath Mon 04-Jan-16 13:32:53

Also, what about the woman who had her Xmas dinner paid for in the pub and she didn't know who had paid for it?

No idea, pub wouldn't tell me. They are "investigating" but gave themselves 8 weeks to do it in... I've told them I won't go back until they tell me, so we're at an impasse at the moment, although Head Office say there is little they can do if the pub didn't record who paid. They are "uncomfortable" with giving me someone's name based on a member of pub staff recognising the person, rather than the person identifying themselves.

NotTheSpiceOfLife Mon 04-Jan-16 13:35:11

WTF Anchor? So you might never know?

SheHasAWildHeart Mon 04-Jan-16 13:53:13

Has the pub contacted the person and told them that you want to know?

PrincePondicherry Mon 04-Jan-16 14:01:20

I had forgotten about that thread!

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant Mon 04-Jan-16 14:07:47

Now while we are asking...

What about that couple who, stayed for a fortnight, ate all the OPsfood and drink and asked for a bank transfer for 70p or similar for a pint of milk?

Shirkingfromhome Mon 04-Jan-16 14:15:05

And that bloody safe angry

Was it ever opened?

Queenbean Mon 04-Jan-16 14:16:59

I HATE these threads that ask about all the old ones because I'm too nosy not to want to know what has happened!

ThumbWitchesAbroad Mon 04-Jan-16 14:24:22

So Anchor - did you go to the pub for Christmas, or did you spend it with your not-quite-sure-if-he's-a-DP-or-not?

I'd love to know about the self-invitees too - although I still think it had the potential to be a wind-up by the FIL.

MagpieCursedTea Mon 04-Jan-16 14:27:23

Oh god the safe! That bloody safe! angry

BarbaraofSeville Mon 04-Jan-16 14:27:43

I want to know about the woman who was given a stick like a child or a dog would pick up when walking in the woods wand as a leaving present from work and it was claimed that it had cost all of the £100+ that was collected from her colleagues for her present.

Was the real gift or was it a joke. Had someone pulled a fast one somewhere?

LivingInMidnight Mon 04-Jan-16 14:36:08

whycanti here:

SurlyValentine Mon 04-Jan-16 14:39:46

Please does anyone know what happened with the OP who found the Tiffany box in her DP's coat pocket the morning they were travelling to stay with family for Christmas? That thread seems to have gone poof.

I'm hoping that the jewellery was for her, but I'm guessing by the thread vanishing that they weren't sad

GinIsTheBestChristmasSpirit Mon 04-Jan-16 14:41:57

The jewellery one I think went into classics. It was for her and the story made me bawl. One sec.

GinIsTheBestChristmasSpirit Mon 04-Jan-16 14:43:13

I can't link on here but it's in classics under Ainu to be put out by dhs surprise. Don't want to spoil it.
