I need a grip

I've just had the most awful, sick in my stomach feeling realisation and I need slapping out of it. That feeling when it dawns on you that you forgot to do something really really important.

I always said I wanted to have a baby in my 20s. I'm currently 29 and my birthday is in September. There is a sensible place just out of reach of me that says "you can have a baby in your 30s, no big deal" but right here and now it feels like I forgot to have a baby.

I forgot to have a baby!

Agree you do need a grip. You're not even in your 30s you still have a lot of time left.

TheJiminyConjecture Sun 03-Jan-16 19:46:41

You don't need a grip, you need a shag wink

My DD turned 30 last year and so have most of her friends and they all went through some type of crisis, similar to this.

I'm 33 and my DD is due in Feb.

Your uterus will not explode just yet.

Where does it say op doesn't have a shag. She could be at it morning noon and night. I didn't know no kids= never had a shag. hmm

It's ok OP - your birthday is September. That's 9months away. NINE MONTHS.

Go on. Get a move on love!

Ooh hurry up!!!!! We had a New Year's Day shag 14 years ago and dd was born four days late at the end of sept, seriously, GET GOING!!!!!

OrangeSquashTallGlass Sun 03-Jan-16 19:53:02

grin thanks for cheering me very slightly up.

I know. I know. I know. But also I'm in panic mode. I meant to do it, I really did, but I never got round to it.

I should have written a to do list...

ghostyslovesheep Sun 03-Jan-16 19:53:48

blimey yes you need a grip - I had mine at 32,34 and 38

Don't worry about it. I nearly forgot to have one in my 30s...I was 39 and 46 weeks when my only DD was born!!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost Sun 03-Jan-16 19:55:17

Also I'm ttc number 2 at 40. I certainly haven't given up hope. I still think I'm 21 though. grin

My wife hit 30 last year and she isn't panicking.

Flamingoblue1 Sun 03-Jan-16 19:56:24

I'm 30 in July and am trying! Hahahha I know the feeling that you're running out of time but you're really not!

Pooshy Sun 03-Jan-16 19:56:43

Don't panic, you have years left and a LO can happen in a year

Just had my first at 35 Altho I did panic when I was single at 30..

Bohemond Sun 03-Jan-16 19:57:14

I forgot to do it in my 30's. Managed it at 43 and glad I waited.

PurpleDaisies Sun 03-Jan-16 19:58:52

Do you actually want to have a baby now op? There really isn't a rush if you're just 30.

CesareBorgiasUnicornMask Sun 03-Jan-16 19:59:14

It's ok OP. When I wrote the to-do list for my 20s, 'NO BABIES' was in big letters at the top. I'm 25 now and contemplating ttc no2... The universe obviously got our wires crossed somewhere grin.

Fucking hell lighthouse I thought the wink was enough of a clue that it was a lighthearted comment.
January to September = 9 months, plenty of time!
