What do they smell of? What does the shop sell?

<intrigued>

catfordbetty Thu 31-Dec-15 14:38:38

Close early?

AnchorDownDeepBreath Thu 31-Dec-15 14:40:21

Is there anyone you can send for air freshener?

I think statistically, a cold shop reduces sales, and makes people leaves faster, but a smelly shop probably doesn't make people feel like hanging around either...

Gileswithachainsaw Thu 31-Dec-15 15:01:25

fags and general musty smell.

someone dropped their cargo in the loo and it stinks so much I think they need a dr.

oh and fart. lots of fart.

we have air fresher but not the air spray kind I used it all up. it's the febreeze kind I have left now.

ScarlettDarling Thu 31-Dec-15 15:02:52

Shut up shop and go home early.

Fags and farts...bleurgh.

Gruntfuttock Thu 31-Dec-15 15:04:26

Can you close? Then go out and get some Oust. Are there any windows you can safely leave open while you're out?

dannydyerismydad Thu 31-Dec-15 15:06:23

Do you work in customer returns in M&S?

I was in there earlier and the desk is right by the loos. It was bad enough queuing in the poo cloud. I felt so sorry for the staff working all day in it.

frikadela01 Thu 31-Dec-15 15:06:47

I used to hate when I worked in a shop and people came in from the rain and had just been smoking... that horrible wet fag smell used to linger for ages (not a dig at smokers btw, i used to be one) If it was my business I'd close.

Gileswithachainsaw Thu 31-Dec-15 15:12:29

Not m&s no.

closing early would cist me my job I expect that wouldn't allow that.

it's often like this anyway

mrsfuzzy Thu 31-Dec-15 15:25:26

sounds like my ex ils living room !! ;)

Gileswithachainsaw Thu 31-Dec-15 15:33:54

Yuk! Yy to freezing them, poor you Giles.

Idefix Thu 31-Dec-15 15:36:56

Curious to know what type of shop though...can we guess?
Bookies not sure that they do toilets though

HanSolo Thu 31-Dec-15 15:54:15

'dropped their cargo' is wonderfully evocative.

Dipankrispaneven Thu 31-Dec-15 15:54:26

Better to freeze the customers than gas them.

Yes, what kind of shop? Not many small shops have loos do they?

I hope it's not a café - not quite the atmosphere one wants to enjoy ones latte in wink.

Krampus Thu 31-Dec-15 15:55:39

I had an image of you dumping customers in a big walk in freezer. I did wonder what service you provided for them, cannibal? They pay you to be eaten fresh but due to the unusually warm winter you will have to store them? It is a dilemma fgrin

mrsfuzzy Thu 31-Dec-15 15:57:10

santa - sounds like a fartee with your latte,

Gileswithachainsaw Thu 31-Dec-15 16:09:43

grin

krampus.

no its not a cafe. but people do eat amongst the smell hmm.

it's just particularly bad today. no on seems to have washed their coats

Floggingmolly Thu 31-Dec-15 16:10:57

Is it a betting shop?

Gruntfuttock Thu 31-Dec-15 16:30:48

A shop, where there are loos and people eat, but is not a cafe. confused

knobblyknee Thu 31-Dec-15 16:33:17

Leave the door open and put a note of apology on it 'sorry about the cold but we have had complaints about the bad smell'...

grin

RJnomore1 Thu 31-Dec-15 16:37:01

Is it a takeaway?
