Basically I've been very stressed and had a poorly baby boy (6 months old) over Christmas, I've been doing about 3 loss of washing every day just to cope with the amount of sick that's been flying around our home recently. Anyway the sick died down and DS went back to normal. I was a bit rushed and decided to put a wash on and wash DHs overalls as they've been waiting a while. So I stuck them in with some whitish bedding on a hot wash and away they went.
Unfortunately I've come to the washing machine only to find that a rogue purple pillowcase had found its way into the machine and has dyed DHs overalls a lovely baby pink colour. Now they aren't pink all over- just the insides of the pockets and where the knee pads go. There is a slight tinge of pink all over but not as bad (I can supply a picture).
I don't know how to tell him what I've done? Can he still wear them? I mean he decorates so it's not as if they didn't have coloured paint on them anyway.
Don't dry them as normal and just shove them back in the drawer and fake all knowledge? Or do I proudly parade his new coloured overalls in front of him and tell him that it's the new trend and everyone's wearing them? Confused
If I do try bleaching them will it make it worse? And most of all can I even be arsed bleaching them?

I wouldn't mention it personally.
