Does anyone actually like gift sets

Smellies and bubble bath I mean.
I love bubble bath but I always have tubs and bottles of mositerising cream left over as I always when I can be bothered use the same one. Not to mention the sponge or flannel that never gets used and don't even get me started on all the bloody packaging.
I am always grateful for the gift but I do tend to think they are an overpriced waste

Me, I love them, but people don't buy them for me, I don't know why. I got some from my work secret Santa, I was made up. I use them all, luckily no sensitive skin issues, skin like a rhino!

Yep, I do! Love presents generally and I'm always happy to try a type I haven't used before and always use everything in them.

Just regift them or donate them to a church/school fair.

I need to find a friend who loves the moisturising cream but hates bubble bath and we can swap

No. Hate them.
Hate the packaging. Prefer to choose my toiletries.
Exception used to be the Body Shop ones that you made up yourself.

I LOVE gift sets/smellies. I know the general consensus on here is that we wash everyday so it's generic and impersonal as a gift, but I think it's a nice way of putting something special into the mundane.

My stb sil's DM&D got me S&G (acronyms anonymous haha), which was no doubt 3 for 2, kept for just in cases such as myself bla bla bla. But at the end of the day she gave it to me with a hug and a Merry Christmas. I'm honestly not sure what else some people expect.

Mon the giftsets.

I like them and I always use them. Good job too, I got 6 sets this year

Depends what they are. I like some stuff like Neal's Yard, Soap & Glory, No.7, Dermalogica etc but as I have really sensitive skin I can't use much. Joules hand soap etc is OK. I tend to just use castile soap bought online or from TK Maxx when they have Dr Bronners in. I regift sets I can't use, or give them to the Foodbank/women's shelter.

I agree on the packaging.

I don't like them. I hate baths and never have them and I am also quite particular in what products I use. I don't like waste so I would hate any generic cheap set but like the ones I actually put on my wishlist.

I love them IF they are the products I like

Love them and I give away the bits I don't use to charity shop or friends who can make use of them.
I'm in the any gift is a thoughtful gift camp - probably because I don't get many gifts these days!!

We can come to some arrangement dolly Grin

Personally though, unless it's a set of one of the fragrances i particularly like then no, i don't like receiving them and they don't get used fully. I think fragrance is quite a personal thing. If it's bloody Baylis and Harding i'll re-gift asap tbh

(I'd never appear anything but grateful when i open it though, just to be clear.)

I love them. I didn't get one this year although did get a big bottle of bubble bath from m&s in my stocking from my mum. I love baths I don't always use all the body butter but use some especially if I particularly like the smell.
I am.delighted with all presents and pleases someone thought of me.

Yes I like them, unless they contain body butter which just seems to get wasted. The bubble bath always get used and hand cream is always handy.

I love them! I don't hold a scent well and have to layer scent to hold it, so sets are perfect for me.

I got a set of the blue Champney's stuff this year from DH, and was really pleased because I'd actually been tempted to buy it for myself just before Christmas. He didn't know it was the set I wanted before he bought it, I've been very enthusiastic about it, so DH will hopefully keep it in mind next year. He normally has a habit of buying me that royal jelly stuff and I don't like it.

I like some sets more than others, but on the whole I don't object to being given a gift set of bath stuff and body creams.

I love them, always have done. Its my childish joy at Christmas - sorting out gift sets. I'm lucky, my skin isn't very sensitive, I'm not married to any particular brands, I'll give anything a whirl.

I like them, but I've the hide of a rhino so I never get a bad reaction to anything and even if it's not something I prefer you can never be sorry to have something for when you run out suddenly.

I assume that happens to us all...

The teens 14-22, in family love certain ones, Sanctury, Soap and Glory, Molton Brown etc.

I hate them and cheap slippers. It doesn't matter how 'luxury' they are, I resent spending money on adults to get one handed to me, but there's always boots that I want that I can't afford.

It's a good barometer of how well someone knows me. I generally can't use them (eczema). This year got one from my aunt and was disappointed because I thought she knew me better.
