Good luck! Go down now and clear your path. Get something to shove against your door!

Go for it! Maybe pretend it's gluten free if anyone questions you.

YANBU. Write the number of the pizza place on a bit of paper to hand to them if anyone tries to wrest it from you.

any minute someone come along and say that a medium pizza is enough to feed a family of 5, if served with salad and coleslaw, maybe even 8 if there is garlic bread too

The trick is to order toppings no one else wants. In my house, it's onions and green peppers.

Why didn't you just ask if anyone else wanted some pizza?! Confused

You can usually get a large for a couple of quid more than a medium, so you could have just got a bigger pizza or asked others if they wanted any.

Did you feed all this family who visited? Why didn't you eat with them?

Why didn't the other adults help you with the feeding, cleaning and DCs?

Don't be a martyr and forget about your own needs, look after yourself too. Smile.

Maybe she didn't want to spend £50 on pizza for everyone?

I can't imagine having family round (or anyone round) and ordering pizza in secret and hiding it upstairs. To me the normal thing to do would be to say 'I really fancy pizza, shall we all chip in a fiver and get dominos?'

Agree teacher this thread is weird.

In a normal household you'd say I'm ordering a pizza does anyone else want to chip in and get something. I don't understand the hiding or sneaking around.

ImperialBlether · 27/12/2015 10:31

Yes but it sounds as though the others have all had something to eat and the OP just wants something for herself, not to share. It's normal not to want to share all the time, isn't it?

If the question was 'AIBU to hide in my bedroom and eat my chocolate orange so I don't have to share it?' My answer would be YADNBU but ordering a whole pizza and then stressing that someone else would answer the door and eat it?! Whilst you've got guests?! Bit odd!

Agree with imperial, something like Op has been looking after baby all day gotten a bit absorbed on that and has forgotten herself, others have doen their own thing, OP realises she needs to eat and look after her own needs once knackered. So she quickly orders pizza (mayb e even about minutes befor elast orders) in her exhaustion and realises after ordering about the others being there OR she doesn't have the energy for the hassle of everyone deciding what they want, writing down and phoning in a big order/dealing with family after an emotionally tiring day.

Surely having to wait in the hallway and stress about being caught (wtf) is worse then saying oh I'm starving and I'm ordering a pizza if you want anything you can speak to the pizza place once I've placed mine.

I just couldn't imagine hanging around in the hallway when I could be led in bed having my pizza brought up to me.

MAybe the relatives were all in their rooms and OP just wanted to be alone...it's a PITA having people over....no privacy. I can relate to not wanting to ask others....sometimes I don't want to do that!

Basicley what pitpatkitkat said lol and I co sleep with my son who's been really unwell the time it would have taken me to go up and ask everyone what they want start talking my ds would have most likely woken up and pizza place was about to close it was risky but I got the pizza and no one was none the wiser and the had loads of food it was just me stuck in bed who hadn't eaten. I agree it dose sound odd looking back but it was my only option Grin

Sometimes you just want what you want. Nothing wrong with that.
