Ds2 6 is fast asleep, ds1 is 9 and wide awake, he is at the stage where he believes and does not...

I haven't even wrapped a single present (been ill with campylobacter for the past 3.5 weeks) decided I am not being ill anymore and poured that large expensive wine...

ds1 please go to sleep Smile

Yep. Same here DS5 is soundo, DD9 however is playing the long game....

I wouldn't mind but I've got a Sylvanian hotel to furnish and would quite like to be going to bed myself now......more mulled wine it is.

DS2 is 4 and still WIDE AWAKE, crazy, shouty wide awake, the sort that won't be asleep for frigging hours yet. I'm knackered.

DS1 is 10 and was asleep in bed by 7.30. My second child is possessed by demons.

Yup, 8 and almost 10 here. Now they're pretending to be asleep after making booby traps to catch father Christmas which involve marbles and books set out like domino's...

My 7 year old is lying in bed watching Muppet Christmas Carol. The teens are coming to the watch night service with me at 11.30 so are doing jigsaws/X boxing loudly with mates.

I'm fighting to stay awake though [santa]

Yep - both DD (11) and DS (9) have been downstairs in the last 30 mins.

Meanwhile, I really want to go to bed.

Mine are 16, 14 and 12. No chance of getting them to bed for a while. The bonus being that they won't be up until well after 8am, and will bring us tea before they open their stockings.

I haven't actually wrapped the stockings yet (last pre-Christmas chore) so I'm about to lock myself in the bedroom.

Yes my four (19,18,9,7) all awake and I feel bad as I have stopped being all jolly and winky and just told the younger two to stop talking and turn their torches off!

DD2 (4) has just gone to sleep, DD1(8) is sitting with DH discussing whether the stinky cheese is allowed to be opened yet. But that's because we are only just back from a lovely few hours at a dribks party with our neighbours (only planned to stay an hour, but the mulled wine was nice, and our DC were playing really nicely with their DC and the other kids from the road, that we kind of lost track of time).

the dh and ds should be the other way round Hmm

Aw fab, Steph13, I hope they settle ok for you if not, Wine is always the answer Grin

The 7 year old has been asleep since 8, the 10 and 12 year olds are still wide awake and up and down for drinks/toilet/meteor showers. The 10 year old has autism and still believes in Santa and is beyond excited. Don't think we are going to bed any time soon, let alone put presents out.
