To return a mattress to amazon as its not comfortable

It sounds a but grim to return it after a few weeks, but the matress is an amazon exclusive so I couldn't of tried it out before I bought it. I tested similar spec ones of the same manufacturer so I thought I would like it.

Surely if its exclusive they should expect people to return it often?

Unless they offer a money back guarantee I don't think you can. Tempur and some other places offer a 30 day trial but Ive heard even they try and drag out all the small print clauses to make this impossible if you try it.

We recently bought new matress (not from amazon) and it had warning on plastic wrapping not to take off wrapping until happy we were keeping it. Did yours come wrapped?

I believe Amazon have a good returns period but that it you've unwrapped the mattress they won't take it back unless it's faulty.

I think that if you were even considering the possibility of returning it then you should have kept the plastic on and put a sheet on top. The mattress isn't faulty. It just doesn't happen to be comfortable for you. That's unfortunate, but it isn't Amazon's fault. I wouldn't expect them to accept a return if you've taken off the wrapping.

Ring customer services and ask. They are really good and I have never had a problem returning anything.

If you can't return it, then an option might be to get a deep memory foam mattress topper to improve matters. I know it's extra expense, but a comfortable night's sleep is essential.

Well i don't think you can test a matress properly with a thick plastic jacket on, else they would keep them on in the shop.

It seems to have all gone through, I just selected "quality or performance is not adiquete" or how ever you spell it and they are picking it up tomorrow for free.

Rather a pointless thread since you obviously thought you were justified in returning it and seemingly are going to succeed in doing so.

Just be aware that, though it seems it's free, they might deduct the cost of the return from your refund: you might have to take it up with them down the line (or check in the small print on the cost of returns - you never have to pay up front for Amazon returns, but they do, in some circumstances, charge you for them).

Well I'm never buying a mattress from Amazon now. Bet they resell that as new!

I refuse to buy stuff from Argos as most of the time I get opened box stuff that look returned and some of the clientele scares me shitlss.
