I'm going through the wringer right now. Life at home is shit (whole other thread)

DS, however, is the sweetest cutest little thing ever!
He was awake at around 4am. And he just kept coming up to me, standing on my legs, looking me straight in the eye with his big brown eyes, he would move his head and body so he was completely holding my gaze.
He would stare at me for 2-3 seconds then do this massive nose grin and fling his arms round my neck and place his open mouth against my cheek (this is how he kisses!)

Then he would toddle off and play with something but 5 mins later come back and do it all over again.

Made little tears appear in my eyes.
Makes up for all the shit to have someone simply love and adore you so unconditionally! Smile

It really is wonderful. I'm up feeding DS2 (10days old) and I'm tired, but love his super squishyness. And DS1 is so loving.

I'm sorry you're having a shot time, enjoy your lovely little bit!

(Ps. Is it anything you want to talk about ?)

Sorry for typos, left handed typing is not my strong suit apparently!

Gush away, he sounds gorgeous. I thought I had it tough with my 2yo DD getting up at 5am every morning, but like you I do love my early morning snuggles, I get lots of slobbery wet kisses too now :)

Sorry to hear you're having a crap time, focussing on the positive things like your lovely toddler is a really good approach though, well done for that, it's not always easy.

I would be struggling to gush over a toddler awake at 4am! However he sounds v cute and Yanbu

The sweetest thing in the world! How precious! (I remember those kinds of kisses.)

Gush away! :)

Mine is teething and will just drive me nuts with the melt downs and low tolerance for frustration. The she hugs me cooing "mama...mama...Mmmm", and all frustration melts away. :)

They are so cute!!
I have forgotten half the things my dd did. But there a few super cute things that I will never forget.

Bugger - thanks for asking. I do have a thread In relationships about that side of life.
Just couldn't get over his cuteness this morning.

I love the way he scrunched up his nose. He has 8 teeth, 4 top 4 bottom, and they are gappy and sweet rounded corners (like most kids!) but when he scrunches his face they show and it's delightful Grin

It's a fantastically clever evolutionary thing that stop you from wanting to damage young children who wake up at 4am wanting to play.

I bet marketing people wish they could replicate.it. Grin

He sounds adorable - even at 4am!

My 8 week old boy has fallen asleep, his little arm across my chest, with half smiles and snuffles - he looks the picture of peace and contentment. I have to take him for his first shots in a bit, I feel like a monster to be honest.

OP, mine is the same age and he is also up at 4am teething etc but is completely adorable. I could eat him.

Other posters are right, just tune in to his loveliness and hope things get better soon. Flowers

Aww same here. My dad died earlier this year and I was heartbroken.. 5 mins after sitting with his body which was probably the lowest point of my life, my toddler did something and I was laughing and gushing with love. They really are magical little beings.
