In thinking people love making themselves heard?

What I mean by this, for example, is announcing a pregnancy on a social media platform and the select few outside the immediate family that you've chosen to tell, commenting "Yes I can finally talk about it!" Or "yes! It's no longer a secret".

I actually find it quite inconsiderate and I don't think these people realise that others may be hurt that they didn't know just as early on.

AIBU?

I guess people are just excited, but I do think people like to feel singled out.

I always cringe a bit when I see people announce another person's baby birth - 'congratulations on the birth of your daughter!' before the parents have actually announced it. Very selfish.
