Yanbu
Because I do it
Grin

Although mine grow back with a ridge where the nail starts and the polish ends

Your feet your choice.

But either you have the most amazing rapid grow nails, or you'll have the half-grown out look most of the year.

It winter, no one will see them. I do this from November to February, I also leave my legs hairy, I am a sloth!Blush

MaxPepsi · 03/12/2015 15:25

Well no, but why would you?

It's 2 mins to take it off, and you'll need to cut your toe nails at some point so why not do it all at the same time?

In winter when no one sees, fair enough, but in summer - ewwwww.

I'm the same as you IJustLost and Donge13 Grin
Although I don't mean to boast but they grow pretty fast so only the tips are now painted.

Why on earth do you need to ask anyone else about something like this?

Report
GoApeShit · 03/12/2015 15:33

As long as no other human sees your feet during this process.

I paint my toenails at the beginning of summer. The polish is usually all grown out by the end of October. Grin That's about all the enthusiasm for 'beauty practices' that I can muster, tbh. I shave my legs around the same time, so by now they have a good layer of warmth trapping hair on again to see me through the cold months. I also don't dye my hair lol. If I'm not putting chemicals on my head, why would I want them on my toes?

Gruntfuttock.....just curious if I'm the only slob & just for a bit of lighthearted conversation/distraction on a dull December afternoon when the whole world seems to be going crazy.

Gruntfuttock That logic could be applied to about a zillion threads on MN.

I just couldn't. Looking at them all messy would irritate the shit out of me. I couldn't leave my legs unshaven either. Nothing to do with man pleasing before anyone bashes me; I shave them daily because I hate that stubbly feeling. Your feet though, do what you like!

I do that!

Toenails last painted in August, currently half grown out.

I have to be very smart for work and always have neatly polished finger nails so it feels excitingly rebellious to have hidden disgusting toe nails Grin

YANBU, if no-one else sees them Xmas Wink

I do my toenails (and shave my legs, actually) throughout winter, but only because I do karate and I use my nails as a distraction technique if I'm getting beaten in sparring Xmas Grin

I'm doing it. I have super-fast growing nails and hair so my toenails, painted in July, have completely grown out except for the big toes which will probably take another six weeks or so.

Yabu and a slob Xmas Shock
Dd is still sporting shellac on her toes from July. It looks horrid.
I take mine off in September and have bare toenails all Winter.

Everythinggettingbigger · 03/12/2015 15:57

your nails your choice!

I don't usually with polish as it takes 2 mins to take off and im always re-doing my finger nails in different colours and my OCD dictates that fingers and toes must match Blush but I have done this with shellac.....absolute nightmare to take off and even worse to take off toenails!! I just kept cutting them and the shellac grew out!

I never remove my summer nail polish.

I like looking at it growing out, it reminds me of hot, sunny days. I only have a bit of the coral pink colour left.

I'll paint over it take it off and redo if I wear open toe shoes to my Xmas party. I have some nice sparkly black I might wear.

Then that can stay on until they're done again in the summer.

Haha I'm with thewittank, it would annoy me, and I still shave in a/w because I wear vest tops & cropped trousers to the gym, but I certainly don't judge anyone else for going au nautral in the winter Xmas Grin

JennyOnAPlate · 03/12/2015 17:33

Yanbu at all. The ends of my toenails are still sporting the varnish I put on for our holiday in August.

My god, I have found my people Xmas Grin

I paint my toenails about twice a year. The rest of the time it just... grows out. I even own nail polish remover!

I remove my toenail polish in summer, but when I put on a coat in September, it stays there until it grows out. No leg shaving here in winter either. I wear trousers all winter and sport hairy legs. DH doesn't seem to mind Grin

RatherBeRiding · 03/12/2015 19:38

Think I last painted mine in September - just the big toes half grown out now. I quite like it. I wouldn't do it if they were on show, but its only my nearest and dearest who see them and no-one seems to give a damn! Xmas Smile

So no YADNBU
