Get a grip of yourself. We are already active in Syria, along with many other countries. Sometimes action is required and war is justified. ISIS is easily up there with Nazi Germany (if not way beyond it) as a protagonist that requires dealing with. Would you have been "in tears" in 1939 when we declared war on Germany?

I think we are damned if we do and damned if we don't tbh, and I certainly fear that things will get worse before they get better.

That said I think military action was always going to happen at some point and I don't entirely disagree with it, but they certainly need to look at other options too. Bombing alone will not stop this imho.

There is so much unanswered, no clear strategy in place over how to actually make a positive step towards eliminating Daesh, what the hell will some fairly low level bombing achieve except to maybe get Britain a seat at the oil table and piss some people off enough to join the jihadis?
