I'm in Scotland and as usual it's pissing with rain. My friend just came in with her DC and they're wearing wellies which they've seen no need to take off at the door. The kids have barged in and traipsed muck and water through the living room. Does anyone else think that it's fucking unreasonable to do that in someone else's home? I've just heard my DS say to my friend's DD "do you not think you should take your wellies off?" Another afternoon spent cleaning the house.

YADNBU. I've always insisted that the DC remove shoes as soon as they enter someone else's house. It's just rude not to.

I'm in Ireland and 2 year old DD and the dog are both trained to stop inside the back door to have wellies taken off/paws dried! That would drive me bonkers.
