Posting here for traffic more than anything, I'm 21 and have a 1 and a half year old son. My partner does his best at being my friend but I miss girly days out. I am not exaggerating when I say I have NO friends, the last friend I ever had contact with was in January, I've tried texting etc but she never replies (she's the manager of a bank so v busy) I have anxiety issues so I don't like the idea of baby groups but I'm so bloody alone! I could cry myself to sleep 😢

Crikey, I opened this thread expecting you to be in your 50's, single and with no family or friends.

You are only 21 for goodness sake, most of your life is still ahead of you, you have a partner and a son, you are not alone!

I have no friends either but it doesn't bother me to be honest, if it did I would do something about it. You know what you need to do and I accept that it will be difficult for you as you have anxiety issues but at the end of the day, you won't meet anyone if you don't get out there and make an effort.

Just be open and friendly with people, you attract people when your in the right mindset.

Some people do stay single forever, like some of the aibu vipers, dont become like them (bitter).

I have to run but listen, you may be a mother and a partner, but you are still very very young.

It took me til my mid 30s to have social confidence.

It will come. Be yourself. Be open. Listen to people. Join in. Push yourself a bit. Join kids' clubs, join fitness groups. Don't beat yourself up about not being outgoing. Most of us are faking it till we make it!

Nearly every woman I know has anxiety issues. It's shit but it's very common. You have one life, live it and take responsibility for it.
