Surely it is the yellow shirted security officers at risk? It was in Next Generation.

Anyway, as to how many Enterprises - by TNG the ship registration was NCC 1701D, so that was 4. And that is before the TNG films, where a couple more must have gone by the wayside (certainly in one film Picard (or maybe Reiker if Picard was otherwise indisposed) detached the saucer section which is a once-only thing).

Um, I'll shut up now grin

Have to say I love the film reboot. It seems like they've made a real effort to recapture the spirit of the series.

And that guy who plays the new Bones is just ace.
