WIBU to just fuck off

I've got a bloody stinking cold and chesty cough and feel like utter shite and I haven't slept for more than a few hours for the past 3 nights as 4 week old DS has been cluster feeding.

My partners alarms have been going off since just gone 5am. He has no fucking intention of getting his arse out of bed until at least 7. Every 2 fucking minutes they are going off. I'm awake, DS 4 weeks is awake and now my (also poorly) 22month old is awake. My partner is, you guessed it ASLEEP!

He knows I'm pissed off, he knows he's woke the kids up and yet he can't be bothered to get up.

Well I've just got dressed and I'm seriously tempted to just fuck off out for the day and leave him to look after the kids. I've already told him
That I hope he enjoys having them today. The only thing stopping me is the fact he does actually need to go to work and I don't actually have anywhere to go (loner) well that and DS2 is exclusively breastfed so the poor mite would starve.

I'm fuming absolutely fucking fuming. I'm just so so tired and I really can't face the over tired tantrums from ds1 that are bound to happen today now. I am struggling enough as it is. Having two under 2's is hard. I don't know anyone here so I'm always on my own and I struggle to get out and about with both kids in tow so we tend to spend most of our time at home. The days seem to be getting longer and I don't know how to fill them.

He will probably be waking up soon and I can guarantee that he will have the arse with me for being short with him... Because having your alarms set to go off every two fucking minutes for a solid two hours is perfectly reasonable don't you know.

Eh why on earth is his alarm going off? Is he normally this much of a dick? I think you prob should fuck off for the day tbh.

GingerIvy Thu 19-Nov-15 07:06:53

After one hit of snooze, if he doesn't get up when alarms go off, you turn them all off and go back to sleep. If he then oversleeps and is late for work then too bad.

theycallmemellojello Thu 19-Nov-15 07:07:11

But in the short term you should probably switch the alarm off yourself and go back to sleep.

AnyFucker Thu 19-Nov-15 07:07:33

why didn't he, or you, turn off the alarm ?

AnyFucker Thu 19-Nov-15 07:08:18

we get a maximum two snooze resets then the alarm gets switched off

Whocansay Thu 19-Nov-15 07:08:35

He's happy to wake the entire house for no apparent reason? He's a selfish bastard isn't he? YANBU, but you know that anyway.

If he does this all the time I'd sleep in a different room or LTB. Sleep is important, especially when you have small kiddies.

Scarletforya Thu 19-Nov-15 07:10:44

I'd have thrown the clock/phone out the window long ago. Sleep is sacred. Don't put up with this crap.

monkeysox Thu 19-Nov-15 07:11:14

You can go out for an hour or two baby will be fine. Yanbu BTW. Your oh is a nob

MusicalFanjo Thu 19-Nov-15 07:11:22

He sets so many alarms because he simply can't get up in the morning. What he doesn't realise, despite me pointing it out to him for the past 6 years, is that he can't get up because he sets so many alarms.

I mean why would you get up to your 5am alarm if you know that a) you don't actually need to be up at that time and b) there will be another alarm in a few minutes?

He's completely lovely in all other ways but yes he is an absolute dick where mornings are concerned.

OTheHugeManatee Thu 19-Nov-15 07:11:32

After a couple of snoozes the solution surely is 1) give him a really good shake and shove to get out of bed and 2) if he ignores that turn the alarm off and everybody goes to sleep. His bloody problem if he's late for work then. You can't just lie there being a snooze alarm martyr for two hours confused

OTheHugeManatee Thu 19-Nov-15 07:12:28

X posted. Sounds like you've been a snooze alarm martyr for SIX YEARS shock

Jibberjabberjooo Thu 19-Nov-15 07:25:01

Have you posted about this before?

MusicalFanjo Thu 19-Nov-15 07:28:20

Oh I prod and shake him every time they go off. He would just sleep straight through them otherwise.

Anyway he's just left for work and informed me that he will now have to stay on later tonight because he needed to be there an hour ago. So basically it's my fault he is now late, apparently.

This means I will now have to do both bath and bedtimes all by myself. Brilliant. Just fucking brilliant.

MusicalFanjo Thu 19-Nov-15 07:30:00

jibber I have yes. I posted at some point last year under a different name.

Oysterbabe Thu 19-Nov-15 07:31:46

I absolutely would not stand for that. In this house the alarm is set for the time you need to get up and when it goes off you get up. I hate snooze buttons.
You have to discuss it with him. He gets one alarm that's out of arms reach so he needs to get out of bed to turn it off and once up he stays up. Or he sleeps in the spare room.

goodnightdarthvader1 Thu 19-Nov-15 07:35:33

You need to put your foot down. My DH sets an alarm for 7am but rarely gets up until 7.30, 7.45 (he used to spring out the bed in the mornings, now he seems to have a harder time getting up). My alarm is set for 7am, I get up at 7.05.

As soon as the baby arrives, that shit is going to change. There is no way, even pre-baby, that I would tolerate an alarm going off at 5-FUCKING-AM if he has to be up 2 hours later. That is absolute insanity. Why on earth have you put up with that for so long? Total total madness.

goodnightdarthvader1 Thu 19-Nov-15 07:36:33

Just read your latest post. Why are you with this moronic waste of space?

Goingtobeawesome Thu 19-Nov-15 07:36:49

He's staying late to punish you, not because his boss will say he has too. How dare you question his highness angry.

TheFairyCaravan Thu 19-Nov-15 07:37:54

The alarm clock/phone would have been up the garden, via the bedroom window, in this house!

What a selfish bastard he is.

MusicalFanjo Thu 19-Nov-15 07:38:10

oyster we have tried that. His phone stays across the room on the chest of drawers. He gets out of bed to turn it off and then brings it back to bed and goes back to sleep.

I've turned all the lights on before now and he has jumped up, turned them off and then returned to bed..

I don't know what else to do. He knows how much it pisses me off and I have tried and tried to get him to see how inconsiderate and selfish it is but he just doesn't 'get' it or perhaps he just simply doesn't care.

MidniteScribbler Thu 19-Nov-15 07:38:48

What exactly do you get out of this relationship?

AndrastesKnickerweasels Thu 19-Nov-15 07:39:33

I would have placed both feet firmly in the small of his back and pushed by now.

Landing heavily on the floor will wake anyone.

Fuck sake, how you live with such a cockwomble is beyond me. Interrupt my sleep and suffer.

Glastokitty Thu 19-Nov-15 07:40:21

That's totally fucking ridiculous. If you can't wake him may I suggest a glass of ice water applied over his head, or better still, a bucket.

YakTriangle Thu 19-Nov-15 07:42:31

Syringe full of iced water. Repeated needly jets of it at his face until he drags his arse out of bed.
Or do you have a spare room you can move to? I wouldn't much want to share a bed with someone thins inconsiderate.
