Our facebook local pages are getting full of the tat that people 'make' from pound shop containers and cheap bars of chocolate, selling at £10 ish.

One woman posts 'only made a few of these so you need to be quick!'

er no thanks I'll mooch on down to B&M bargains and just buy the sweets for £2 without your teddy bear shaped container.

YABU you can buy a box for about a fiver, the various bits for a couple of quid and check out how to make it online, you could do it for less than a tenner in no time at all although why you would want to is another matter

Bizzy but look at the wonderful craftsmanship. I reckon that took at least 15 minutes to make, and the seller is right, it would make an amazing centrepiece. You might not be able to afford the turkey, but amazing.

Maybe in 100 years time a picture of that Ferrero Tree will be in a glossy Phaidon coffee table book entitled 21st Century British Folk Art.

Maybe.

You know what that needs.... some glittered encased wine glasses to match GrinGrin

Fiery yes but the wine glasses need to come with a glittery bottle of blossom hill too.

Jesus, can't knock 'em for trying but I never fail to be astounded people are making money off this stuff. It looks like an end of term project....

I have the glass and the blossom hill as someone MIL knows makes it. Can I drink out the glass or will my innards be torn apart by tiny bits of glitter....although I might be able to present a glittery poo as an alternative Yule log! I could then tie a ribbon round it and get on the Facebook Selling pages as they like glittery shite.

My sister fell foul of one of these craft charlatans a few weeks ago. I was pissed as I make anything and everything and its 10 times the quality of the tat you see on facebook! She bought 2 jumbo cupcakes for £14 delivered, they did look quite hefty in the pic but when we got collected them from my mums they were Costco cupcakes, decorated in a little off the shelf frosting and some maltesers, buttons, and a hand written message card. It only cost £3 for the 6 cupcakes from costco so I was like Shock at the brass necked cheek of the woman!
