To give up this job?

I'm a full time student working two jobs at the moment.

Job A is a reasonably well paid job that I enjoy but I have been limited in the number of hours I can do as I currently only work weekends to cover another full time member of staff's days off.

Job B is working with a friend of mine on the bar in her nightclub, I only work Saturday night as that night is the only night hours are available.

Problem is the timings of the two jobs. Job A is early starts (7am) and early finishes, job B is late nights (finishing 4am) so on the Sunday I am absolutely exhausted from having worked all day and night Saturday, driving half and hour home from work and then having maximum 3hrs sleep before working all day Sunday.

An opportunity has come up in Job A for me to work as 'bank' staff in other branches of the group I work in - this means that I could get called in at a moments notice on the days I'm not at uni, so I could have work or not depending on when/if they needs cover. Obviously this is not guaranteed work.

Should I give up job B and take the bank work even if it's not guaranteed hours? Finding the timings difficult to manange with the early mornings/late nights :/

I don't really want to give up job A as jobs like that in the sector I work in are like hens teeth!

Yes give up job B. You're knackered, it's as unsocial hours as it could possibly be and although it's great to have a mate with a nightclub, I'd rather be there as an intermittent guest than a regular barmaid!

Yes- and save some of what you earn from any bank work so you can survive the week when there isn't any, especially if it's a better long term step to where you want to be after uni. Driving after working back to back shifts is silly and dangerous, and your current hours will surely affect your learning in the week and therefore your degree.

No brainer..give up job b. Its making you. Tried. Maybe find job c if you can spare weekday evening along with full time studying without wearing you out. Hopefully job a gives you more hours soon x

Yes if there is any way you can afford it I would give up job b. Working those hours sounds very stressful and the money is not worth losing a night's sleep every week! I would go for the job A bank work but even if that doesn't pan out I would still give up job b and look for something with more social hours during the week if you really need the extra income. There must be temporary jobs in retail at this time of year unless that's changed in the last few years.

Yeah I do feel that job B is wearing me out, I don't mind working on the weekends as it gives me free time during the week to attend uni and study but working two jobs on one day is a bit much. Especially since, after tax, I only earn about £30 a shift! It all adds up over a month so it's still helpful to have but it just doesn't feel worth it and I'm starting to dread going in. If I didn't have the weird combination of hours it would be fine!

There is a lot of seasonal work where I live, which is why I'm especially keen to keep job A as its one of the few that isn't seasonal - trouble with most of the seasonal work going at the moment they want you to be completely flexible and with uni and my other job there are only 2 days I can work which doesn't make me very attractive to employers :(
