Back story
the last few weeks ive been having huge hot flushes where ive had to have all the windows open and heating off to even get to a bearable temperature. Over the last few days i have become more forgetful ie turning the hob on instead of the oven bringing things upstairs that dont belong upstairs ie tin opener and he said that i need to see a doc as its getting out of hand as tonight there was a plate on the hob that smashed. Aibu to refuse to go or is he?

You need to see a doctor. Why on earth don't you want to see one?

That's beyond the 'norm ' of menopausal ...yes, get your self to GP asap.

Seams to be something petty that the doc carnt really help with. I mean im 27 so what could it be really.

Go to the doctor. You'd tell your DH to go if it was the other way around. Hopefully it's nothing serious but you need to check for your peace of mind and his.

"I mean im 27 so what could it be really."

Well that's a question for the doctor, not us.

Just go and see one.

Before I saw your age I would wonder menopause.

You need to see your dr to rule it out at least.

Why wouldn't you go? Clear physical and mental symptoms of something.

Yes you need to go. You need to find out why the hot flushes are happening. You must be worried?

Of course you need to see your GP, those symptoms need an explanation. And not trying to scare you, being 27 it could still be the menopause - I know someone who went through it aged 15 Sad. Get yourself to the doctor and get it checked out!

You should visit your GP. Hot flushes aren't a regular thing at age 27 as far as I know.

You describe menopausal symptoms. I get some of those, but I am 49 and can expect it.

I agree go and see the doctors. As everyone has mentioned they are menopausal symptoms I ignored them from age 18 until I was 23. At the age of 24 I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure (early menopause).

I had a number of other conditions ruled out, mainly hormonal imbalances, first.

YABU!!

And this is someone who is 24 and newly diagnosed with MS.

You're never too young if you're having symptoms

BestZebbie · 06/11/2015 23:03

Reduced interest in sex, hot flushes and memory issues are all things that can be caused by not having enough estrogen.

As you are young and not pregnant this could be caused by serious problems with your ovaries or pituitary gland (or being super-thin - is that likely?) - so worth getting checked out asap.

YABU - go to the drs. Could be an infection, stress, mental health issue, neurological issue, hormonal issue etc etc. The only person that could say is a doctor. But you need to be honest with them about your symptoms!
