A weak attempt at 'sarcasm' and in poor taste

What is wrong with people?

Yes, some schools in my area were still on half term at the start of this week too.

Still half term for one of my kids, they had 2 weeks off!

WTF????

Hundreds of people died, lots of children are now scared of flying (certainly the impromptu conversation I had in a Y6 class yesterday revealed a lot of worry) and you are using this to make a smarmy, spiteful point about in-term holidays? Confused

I don't usually accuse others of jealousy, as I think jealousy is a very normal human emotion, and not as easy to eradicate as all that, but you do sound unpleasantly, maliciously gleeful about this idea.

You're bound to be frustrated, though. Anyone being evacuated has either had a nightmare or and adventure, so that bit is out of your hands and dependent on the individuals' own attitudes. However, any truants will be pretty exposed, so will likely get whatever's coming to them for truancy, with no blind eye, if that's what you're after? It won't necessarily be public shaming, though. Hmm

Clearly some people missed the "lighthearted" wink at the end.

This has nothing to do the the actual crash.

I just hope everybody gets back safely. What is wrong with you OP? Poorly judged post.

That wasn't a lighthearted wink it was a wink to indicate sarcasm at the phrase "educational holidays".

How on earth would you know OP that those children don't have permission to be out of school? This thread is in very poor taste.

This place has gone weird. Such hoikyness.

Op. You missed out the obligatory lighthearted. It's similar to the warning on hot drinks. That they might be hot, for people who would find it difficult to work out.

Worthy??

People are having to put themselves and their families onto a plane today that is considered so risky that the baggage is being sent separately.

Sometimes threads are just in poor taste. Yhis one would have been even with "lighthearted" in the title. Can you imagine how stressed some of those children (and adults) will be, getting onto flight when another has just been blown up.
