All these kids on their educational holidays wink

MumOnTheRunAgain Fri 06-Nov-15 07:41:56

How ridiculous!

PepperThePrepper Fri 06-Nov-15 07:44:38

Eh?! They went in half term! Hardly their fault a terrorist blew up the plane.

I think the OP is being sarcastic?

treaclesoda Fri 06-Nov-15 07:47:48

oops, don't know why I put a question mark there...

MumOnTheRunAgain Fri 06-Nov-15 07:48:18

A weak attempt at 'sarcasm' and in poor taste

What is wrong with people?

BrendaandEddie Fri 06-Nov-15 07:53:06

They grounded the planes this week. Not Sunday night

MockTheWeek Fri 06-Nov-15 07:54:42

Some schools in my area are still on half term

treaclesoda Fri 06-Nov-15 08:09:06

Yes, some schools in my area were still on half term at the start of this week too.

Schrodingersmum Fri 06-Nov-15 08:11:30

Still half term for one of my kids, they had 2 weeks off!

TheoriginalLEM Fri 06-Nov-15 08:13:57

WTF????

ArmchairTraveller Fri 06-Nov-15 08:14:54

Hundreds of people died, lots of children are now scared of flying (certainly the impromptu conversation I had in a Y6 class yesterday revealed a lot of worry) and you are using this to make a smarmy, spiteful point about in-term holidays? confused

pluck Fri 06-Nov-15 08:18:06

I don't usually accuse others of jealousy, as I think jealousy is a very normal human emotion, and not as easy to eradicate as all that, but you do sound unpleasantly, maliciously gleeful about this idea.

You're bound to be frustrated, though. Anyone being evacuated has either had a nightmare or and adventure, so that bit is out of your hands and dependent on the individuals' own attitudes. However, any truants will be pretty exposed, so will likely get whatever's coming to them for truancy, with no blind eye, if that's what you're after? It won't necessarily be public shaming, though. hmm

KondosSecretJunkRoom Fri 06-Nov-15 08:18:30

?? Really??

hmm

msgrinch Fri 06-Nov-15 08:21:56

What an awful post.

SoupDragon Fri 06-Nov-15 08:24:16

I don't usually accuse others of jealousy...

PMSL. The OP isn't jealous.

SoupDragon Fri 06-Nov-15 08:24:59

Clearly some people missed the "lighthearted" wink at the end.

This has nothing to do the the actual crash.

NorthernLurker Fri 06-Nov-15 08:25:33

I just hope everybody gets back safely. What is wrong with you OP? Poorly judged post.

Toughasoldboots Fri 06-Nov-15 08:27:37

Why is everyone so worthy all the time on here?

atticusclaw2 Fri 06-Nov-15 08:28:06

That wasn't a lighthearted wink it was a wink to indicate sarcasm at the phrase "educational holidays".

How on earth would you know OP that those children don't have permission to be out of school? This thread is in very poor taste.

Mrsmorton Fri 06-Nov-15 08:29:57

This place has gone weird. Such hoikyness.

Op. You missed out the obligatory lighthearted. It's similar to the warning on hot drinks. That they might be hot, for people who would find it difficult to work out.

Toughasoldboots Fri 06-Nov-15 08:31:15

Or 'triggering' in the title.

KondosSecretJunkRoom Fri 06-Nov-15 08:34:42

Worthy??

People are having to put themselves and their families onto a plane today that is considered so risky that the baggage is being sent separately.
