I've been on about 7 dates with him now and every time we go out when he goes to toilet he says - I'm just going for a wee wee.

Confused

He's 32.

Haha I'd probably just say "as if you call it a wee wee!" And make a joke out of it!

Yanbu. Ltb.
Yuck!!

I'm not sure if this is worse than saying "tinkle" (which my colleague says).

In any case: LTB.

Actually I remember going on a date with someone who loudly announced he was going for a slash. There was only one date.

How cringe-making.

I'm also saying LTB.

Ha ha! Maybe he normally says I'm going for a slash/piss but is trying to be polite Grin

I usually find 'thank you for (over) sharing' kills that. Eventually.

Does he say he's going for a poo-poo too? If so just run for the hills.

I guess its because I have a niece who is 4 and its always - have you been for a wee wee? Do you need to go for a wee wee?

I just want to scream at him - just say you're going to the toilet!

Dear god he'll probably tell me hes going for a poo poo next haha

I'd be tempted to ask if he wanted me to bring a potty next time we go out.

I hate it when anyone announces that they need a wee, wee-wee would set me over the edge! Why can people not just say "just nipping to the toilet/bathroom/loo"? I don't need to know that they're having a wee!

DP says "tinkle" which is ironic because it sounds like a water canon when she pees.

Deal breaker - LTB!

Not unreasonable; baby talk is for babies only.

Makes me cringe when adults announce they are going for a wee. Not heard wee wee, but that's worse.

If a non-important peccadillo like this annoys you already it's probably best to stop seeing him before you uncover the important stuff.

BreconBeBuggered · 01/11/2015 12:58

OK, he doesn't have children, but does he have a dog? I'm guilty of asking my dog if he wants a wee-wee. I don't think it has spread to being used in adult conversation, but the odd one might slip out accidentally, as it were.

This reminds me of a married couple I once knew. Towards the end of their marriage it became ridiculous - he'd really pushed her over the edge and among the unreasonable behaviour my friend cited was that her STBXH used to:

  • never use coasters
  • hang his coat on the chair instead of on the coat hanger
  • leave tea bags in the sink

The list was endless. We laugh about it now but these sorts of things eventually become murderous.

That would make me laugh, is that the only thing you don't like about him?

OK, he doesn't have children, but does he have a dog? I'm guilty of asking my dog if he wants a wee-wee in fairness you can't really ask them to pop to the bathroom.

Sack him.
'Excuse me' is all he need say.
