As title really.

I'd love it, I think she'd be interesting whatever happened.

MumOnTheRunAgain Thu 29-Oct-15 11:27:09

she might not want to bother with MN!

Did Shami Chakraboti (apologies spelling) ever come on here? After slagging us off for being more interested in anal sex & linen washing than politics.

Fab idea!

However will HQ regard her as too contentious at the moment? I dunno.

SettlinginNicely Thu 29-Oct-15 11:35:58

Love her! Would be amazing, if she had the time and inclination to do so.

Sounds like an excellent idea, and in keeping with the idea that MN is one of the few places online where gender-critical women aren't silenced on certain topics.

Wonderful idea, not sure GG could be arsed, though.

YANBU, I think she'd be really interesting smile

HedgehogAtHome Thu 29-Oct-15 11:48:07

I would love this.

MNHQ would have to get there arse into gear and ban new memberships to prevent it being deliberately targeted though.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett Thu 29-Oct-15 11:55:02

Absolutely, yes.

Suggest the thread is closed an hour or two before the webchat starts to clear up the inevitable 'targeted' questions - under the one question, one poster, no repeats rule of course.

But absolutely I'd love to hear from her. Especially if she swears, she's an epic swearer!

LadyMaryofDownt0n Thu 29-Oct-15 12:03:06

Yes please!

Postino Thu 29-Oct-15 12:11:18

I'd love it, she's a complete hero of mine. Though I wouldn't blame MNHQ if they chose not to.

iamaboveandBeyond Thu 29-Oct-15 12:20:03

I thnk that perhaps, although they do allow gender critical discussion on the site, mnhq would not like the idea of this stance being 'promoted' via actively courting discussion with GG right now, as it would most definitely lead to mn being labelled as a site full of 'TERFs' (and all the fun negativity that comes with that)

Regardless of how many gender-critical people there are here

<somewhat cynical>

TinklyLittleLaugh Thu 29-Oct-15 12:22:26

I think it is an excellent idea.

I'd like to see a GG webchat that specifically does not address anything to do with transgender issues. So having the webchat closed would be ideal to achieve that.
