To think my friend is rude/controlling

So we are both off for half term, she messages me on wassap and says shall we meet, then gives me 2 options of what we can do and says she will pick me up at 10. She then messages again saying where we are going (didn't give me the option of choosing).
This morning I get a phone call at 8.00am (bearing in mind I am hypo and need my sleep and feel crap in a morning so it's a luxury to lie in) this call is a text message to my home line, not my mobile asking what time are we meeting, so I message back on wassap (normal line of comms) to say it's 10am as in the message above.
10.15 no show, I call her on mobile, she says 'Oh that's why I texted you, I said I messaged her on wassap and she said she hadn't seen it and that she now needed to have a shower/wash hair/make up and will be over later when she was ready....is this just me or what?

I have a friend who can be a bit like that. She's more disorganised and crap at timekeeping than controlling. But yes, it's rude and inconsiderate to constantly chop and change arrangements to suit yourself, with no regard for the other person.

Thanks, she is a good friend but I feel like she thinks she is 'better' than me and so has the right to mess me about because she has a managerial job and I don't....

I'd text back telling her you've changed your mind and are going to do something you want to do. Why is her preferences and time more important than yours?

Good point Justmuddling, except I don't have many friends in my life and I don't want to upset her, which is of course weak of me... I just don't like offending people.

But you're allowing her to offend you. Get yer coat on and go out and enjoy your time off work. Don't worry about upsetting her, she doesn't worry about upsetting you obviously.
