AIBU to verge on panic because my cleaner is having her last day today?

I came on looking for that thread by a domestic cleaner in Luton/Harpenden, but apparently it's been deleted as advertising (clearly worked on me!).

I'm a childminder before and after school, and just started an admin job from home during school hours. Children demolish my house for five hours a day, and breathe, breathe, breathe Ofsted are due within the next few months. My cleaner was so lovely, helped me pluck order from the chaos, but is quitting cleaning to ramp up her sewing job. I know these are first world problems, but this has come at the worst possible time with my new job. I'm great with kids and cooking, but I'm a worse clutterer than the kids. Argh!!

Oh, and she only told me today that she's leaving. Today. Argh.

One day's notice is rather annoying, but I'm guessing she did not have an employment contract. Maybe she can give you some hand-over notes before she goes, so at least you'll have some sort of plan until you find a replacement.

My sister has just started doing my cleaning for me as she's saving for a holiday. It's the best money I've ever spent and it makes me so happy having a lovely clean house and time to do other stuff. Do you have any family or friends who would be interested in some extra money? Good luck smile

I'm trying to persuade my teenager to do a bit of it. I think I've lined up a real replacement cleaner for most of it. I hope. I'm not going to properly relax until she's started and turned out to be reasonably good.

And yes, I know AIBU but I'm far from a domestic goddess.
