I love Zumba but I have never seen a man there and I've been going for 8 months

WhoTheFuckIsSimon Fri 16-Oct-15 20:01:47

I joined a rock climbing club. I was the only woman there among 60 blokes. Numerous flings and then a now husband.

There is one man who comes to the zumba class I go to. He is middle aged and stands at the very back and claps in time to the music. hmm

The rest of the class are women......

How about photography?

wizzywig Fri 16-Oct-15 20:04:14

No, just no.

I went to a Zumba class. The only man there looked and was dressed like Mr Motivator. He wasn't Mr Motivator but was as enthusiastic.

<ponders what Mr Motivator is doing these days>
<ponders whether the OP, a whippersnapper in her 20s, will even know who Mr Motivator is>

Canoe clubs are also good for meeting men. Cycling clubs I reckon would also be a goer.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos Fri 16-Oct-15 20:07:12

The only men I have ever seen at Zumba are those who have been dragged there by partners who have obviously lied and told them loads of men go.

They rarely return!

Early 90s OP, close enough

Jakadaal Fri 16-Oct-15 20:11:52

Rowing or tennis clubs? Swing dancing, ceroc and Lindy hop classes are good as they often pair singles up or provide taxi dancers

chipsandpeas Fri 16-Oct-15 20:17:19

only guy in my zumba class is gay

PuppyMonkey Fri 16-Oct-15 20:19:57

Do they mean yoga? I've seen men do yoga.

In fact now I think of it, DP goes to yoga.

But he's taken I'm afraid. grin

megletthesecond Fri 16-Oct-15 20:21:16

Yanbu. Men don't go to zumba, neither do I <<shudder>>

What about parkrun, climbing, badminton?

Muckogy Fri 16-Oct-15 20:22:08

i doubt men in their 20s would do zumba. men in their 40s and 50s maybe.........
hiking or climbing groups might be good for meeting guys.
ditto canoeing/kayaking/boating/cycling/running.

also try www.meetups.com

Chottie

How about photography?

I read that as pornography and thought that it's not a great idea for husband or boyfriend but would likely lead to being less lonely...... Stickier..... But less lonely wink

ThreeFrazzledFandangos Fri 16-Oct-15 20:29:34

Yeah you get quite a lot of fit men at yoga recovering from sports injuries.

pocketsized Fri 16-Oct-15 20:30:02

Climbing rules. I have great mates that I made climbing, and getting to the top of something scarves awesome smile

Straight men don't go to Zumba

I took my dh once, the other guy there winked at him (my dh said he wasn't his type grin)

stealthbanana Fri 16-Oct-15 20:33:42

If you are in london, some extremely hot men who I shamelessly perve on go to my reformer Pilates classes at heartcore Pilates

Zumba - not so much.

AnyoneButAndre Fri 16-Oct-15 20:36:00

Goodgym has men, and occasions to chat. Martial Arts maybe? Slightly more than its fair share of odd men but some perfectly good ones as well.

Paintedhandprints Fri 16-Oct-15 20:36:50

Err nope. Zumba! Huh. walks away scratching head. If you're not keen on heights, could try bouldering instead of climbing. Lots of young men keen to show you what to do. wink
