Dd1 started Y4 last week. Job share teachers, one I know very well and one who is a complete stranger. Mrs Well-Known last week, no probs. Mrs Complete-Stranger today for the first time. School have not yet sent out calendars etc. I asked my Dd to find out when her £££ music lesson was due - there is an expectation that by Y4 the pupils will manage their time and get themselves there independently, a bit of a stretch for my Dd.
Each day I have asked if she knows when this lesson will be, each morning I have reminded her to ask about it. Tonight the answer was - it's not til Thursday so don't bother me about it til Thursday. Mrs Complete-Stranger doesn't even work on Thursdays! angry. If she knew it was on a Thursday, surely she could have gone the extra inch and shared the timing of the lesson, especially given that school have yet to share their term's planned events?
I work within a different department at the school. I would be roasted by management and feel ashamed if I sent a message like that home.
I think she is BU and rude.
She's off my Christmas card list!

are you sure the message came from the teacher and not through a child's retelling filter?

Not my DD's style of answer and I got the exact same words from her at different times this evening.
