to think I've lost the knack of making friends

I feel like I used to have quite a few friends but now I just - don't.

I'm on my laptop for the first time in a while since I got an iPad and I have been looking through some old photos and feeling a bit nostalgic and sad.

Has anyone else experienced this (am 33.)

Yes ! Me too. Been tough few years with DCs and I've been knackered and grumpy. I'm starting to resurface now. Fortunately still in touch with close friends and making new ones but it is hard, and I do feel that I am much more rubbish at making friends

Sorry you're both feeling low. FWIW, it seems to me that I make friends when I'm not expecting to. EG I joined a gym last year because the weight was just ridiculous, and I've been going to classes rather than the gym, and I've got to know loads of the regulars and they've become friends, which is so nice, but not why I did it.

So my advice to you would be to try and find something that you're genuinely interested in doing or learning about or whatever and see what happens, but even if nothing does, you'll accomplish something for yourself in any case.

Good luck flowers

I think it gets harder as you get older as life gets busy. No real advise just do social 'things' that you like & see if you can meet people.
