Is a bit of a nob?
I get that actors don't want to be filmed and think its bad when people use mobiles in live theatre.
But its hardly 'mortifying' as he told his 'fans'
He wants to live in the real world, he may then understand the true meaning of mortifying.

Refreshing to see on the Same news item that a Beatles tribute band actively encourage people to film their show.

No. I agree with him. The narcissistic selfish arsehole audience need telling.

If you've paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see this and you're sat behind/next to someone who films large segments of it I imagine it's very distracting/irritating. It's not the done thing, not even at the cinema and certainly not at a decent theatre. That's probably why he's mortified.....that his fame is causing other paying customers upset.

I totally agree with him. If somebody is a nob it's certainly not him. ????

No he is NBU ... he is absolutely brilliant on stage (saw him in Frankenstein) and i would be fucked off if some twat was in front of me filming it when i was trying to watch him. Put your fecking phone down for a couple of hours and have a bit of respect for the actors

I said I understand that the audience shouldn't be doing it. I reckon they should be escorted out tbh.
its just the way BC described it as mortifying,
I cant stand the bloke which may have some bearing on my rant

Totally agree with him people shouldn't be filming.

Thought he sounded like an utter nob making his whiney speech though and describing it as mortifying.

YANBU.

It is unacceptable behaviour full stop and I would imagine the rest of the cast know it was his groupies responsible for the disruption, so being mortified is probably an accurate reflection of how he feels. Too many people have started to behave atrociously at the theatre, phones, sweets, talking etc really ruins it for everyone.

I agree with him. Rather similar to the idiots who need to take a selfie with sportsmen, and then get in the way....some horrible accidents and near misses in bike races.

I think mortifying is a wierd word to use. I could understand - annoying distracting even disrespectful. I have been irritated by people filming in the theatre.

Anyone who uses their phone in a theatre needs chucking out.

It's quite irritating when people film their kids at school....let alone when you've paid £50+ for a ticket.

Those filming him are the nobs.

Totally agree with him. To be honest this current obsession of filming and/or taking photos at concerts etc really gets in my wick

I thought the way he complained was v fair.

He would have been entitled to stop the play and yell out 'stop filming you thick twats' but he didn't.
