When the time is right... we will take over... as the supreme power of the universe!!!!

Say in a Dalek accent.

DH is watching 30 year old Doctor Who on Sky+.

AIBU to exterminate the remote control?

Only if it's Sylvester Macoy

dougieroseagain Wed 29-Jul-15 22:23:39

It's classic Tom Baker and Sarah Jane.

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky Wed 29-Jul-15 22:47:21

I've never actually seen Doctor Who so I have no idea whether YABU or not.

<misses point completely>

Salmotrutta Wed 29-Jul-15 22:49:51

No, classic would be Patrick Troughton or William Hartnell.

Back in the days when I was the one hiding behind the sofa.

ghostyslovesheep Wed 29-Jul-15 22:50:21

tardis

ghostyslovesheep Wed 29-Jul-15 22:51:24

Tom Baker is my Doctor - with a little bit of Pertwee that I can just remember

cariadlet Wed 29-Jul-15 22:51:33

Don't be ridiculous. Classic is obviously John Pertwee.

dougieroseagain Wed 29-Jul-15 22:54:13

It was only until Christopher Ecclestone that the bad acting stopped.

YouTheCat Wed 29-Jul-15 22:56:34

Mine too, Ghosty. grin

And Sylvester McCoy is lovely. I met him at a comic con. He's only little.

emwithme Wed 29-Jul-15 23:12:32

Ooooh which story? <misses point>

I love classic Doctor Who. I do not like Cybermen though, they're right scary...

dougieroseagain Wed 29-Jul-15 23:20:04

Erm... some Daleks have landed on Earth and the Army are trying to stop them. Tom Baker is helping them.

Other than that, I can't help you confused

ShadowStar Wed 29-Jul-15 23:28:00

The Horror Channel was showing The Horror of Fang Rock earlier tonight. But I don't think that's the one OP means. Fang Rock does have Tom Baker, but with a sinister lighthouse and no Daleks.

I think the Horror channel should get more old Doctor Who episodes though. Fang Rock must have been round half a dozen times or so since they started showing old Doctor Who, and there's loads of stories they haven't shown.

madamginger Wed 29-Jul-15 23:31:19

The BBC lost a lot of the old series film reels so some episodes are lost foreversad

dougieroseagain Wed 29-Jul-15 23:39:46

God, don't tell the BBC haters that, madamginger - they'll use that as an excuse not to pay the licence fee!

And on that note, I am going to retire. Into my Tardis. With David Tennant.

"Oooh, halloo!"

YouTheCat Wed 29-Jul-15 23:41:10

Allons y grin

madamginger Wed 29-Jul-15 23:53:22

nocoolnamesleft Wed 29-Jul-15 23:53:26

Oooh, Tom Baker was my doctor. Though I admit that, more recently, David Tennant made a verrrrrrrrrrry nice doctor.

MakeItRain Wed 29-Jul-15 23:57:49

I'm the John Pertwee/Tom Baker generation too grin Can't beat a bit of Tom Baker/Dalek excitement!

SideOrderofChips Thu 30-Jul-15 00:19:37

Christopher Eccelston was my Doctor....mmmmnn

SmartAlecMetalGit Thu 30-Jul-15 00:33:34

Tom Baker is THE Doctor as far as I'm concerned, I luffs him far more than is reasonable

<lovingly strokes DVD collection of every available Fourth Doctor episode>

Fatmomma99 Thu 30-Jul-15 00:38:22

Naughty, dougieroseagai, very naughty.

Fatmomma99 Thu 30-Jul-15 00:39:56

<strokes purels> There are some impure thoughts on this thread. <sighs>

Ooh, I learned a new emoticon on here. Yay.
Ohh, yeah, the old Dr Who is shite. I love love love the pair of Matt Smith and David Tennant though. I was drooling smiling through the 50 years episode. smile
