Someone just told me to use the calendar on my PC, instead of poring over stationary websites to choose a nice new desk planner to write my work stuff in?

I'm right, surely to goodness?

Cut that person out of your life. Do it now.

Of course you are right. I love stationary! And if using a desk diary or calendar works for you, then there's no problem!

I still believe that there is some magic item of stationary out there that will make me into an organised, motivated person. And during the hunt for this magic item, I get to enjoy lots of stationary porn! Grin

I agree cut them out, you don't need that kind of negativity in your life

In a former job, there was a cupboard with a big label affixed to the front:

STATIONARY CUPBOARD

That was a relief, I can tell you. It was quite near my desk.

Real calendar made of paper and cardboard? How delightfully quaint.

Arghhh - I was looking at it when I wrote it, and was so sure I had them the right way round in my head.

I will write out my spelling corrections 20 times, Salmotrutta. Blush

Salmo - you saved me a job!

I love paper notebooks but an outlook/phone calendar. Perhaps a compromise you could make?

I was in Smiths today and somehow found myself buying yet another lovely notebook. I have a pile of lovely notebooks of various sizes, colours and patterns.

I have recently started a fabulous mandela colouring-in book. My eyes have been opened to a whole new world of pencils, pens and other stationery necessary to colour in properly.

Your colleague is obviously a poor, withered soul whose life need more joy.

Yanbu. I love my paper diary. It's fabulous. I may also have a slight addiction to pretty coloured sharpies didn't buy a 99p folder to get new pretties cheaper

YANBU - wtf is wrong with people?!! Of course you need a beautiful diary for writing important things.. For a start, you can't use all manner of different coloured fountain pens on a computer!!

Report
Princessgenie · 28/07/2015 19:05

Your colleague is clearly wrong. Absolutely you need a proper paper one. How else can you flick through it importantly and marvel at all the exciting things you have planned?
