Last week i was signed off sick with stress as Df had been very ill for weeks (terminal cancer) and my boss kept upping my hrs despite me pointing out my homelife commitments.Long story short df ended up in A and E and hospice nurse has given emergency meds etc.He is currently ok.
Since last tue ive been wanting to go back to work eventhough my first day is 10 til 1130 and will be very busy.the Gp has signed me back a week earlier than my sicknote said.
I am the same when i book annual leave i cant wait to get back to work and do something constuctive.
Dont get me wrong i love a good shop and a coffee with DD then i am ready to get back on the treadmill of work.We have been very short staffed and the work is physically demanding.People think it is weird i just love the challenge of it all. Some say if my homelife was better i would love to be off but i find it quite boring.AIBU.

Work is a break for me too! I have to plan my time off so I don't get bored or grumpy with the DC. YANBU.

Work is most definitely a break for me and I often look forward to work on a Sunday evening. I have a very active 2 and 4 year old and being at work is much easier than being at home. I even get a whole uninterrupted half an hour to eat my lunch and read, it's bliss!
