To wonder how many cover ups there are and what we're not being told?

I've never really believed in conspiracy theories and thought people who thought there is any kind of truth in them were a bit odd/strange, but since the whole Jimmy Savile thing Im finding myself wondering more and more about what we're not being told things. Years ago I used to post on another forum and people on there were always hinting that Savile was a pervert and then the moderators would come along and ban people for libel and posts would get removed, but it turns out it was all true.

Now today I've just watched an Australian current affairs show attempting to expose a pedophile ring at the very heart of the British establishment, why aren't the UK media doing this? I feel so disturbed. What aren't we being told?

AIBU to wonder how many cover ups there are actually are? Everything is starting to feel a bit unreal, like one big lie.

my friend is the 'love child' of Jimmy Saville. she's now 43. her mother was eighteen and Saville in his forties when she was conceived.

It made me wonder how many more young girls he took advantage of and impregnated. This was before the revelations of a few years ago.

there are loads:
the establishment paedophile ring is a biggie. cameron is trying to sit on it but it will come out eventually.
there are allegations of a larger international paedophile ring that has implicated nicole kidman's father. he died suddenly in recent months; rumoured to have fled his high-powered job in sydney to hunker down in singapore. 2 former australian prime ministers are also implicated in that one.
what else? that isis are funded by the west. the west are certainly arming them, if nothing else.

there has been some coverage of this in the press but not much

James O'Brien on LBC Radio usually covers the latest developments but I must confess I often don't listen because I find it very distressing and it's not like I can do anything about it

I am not a conspiracy theorist at all but I do think the full truths here will be very shocking. I can't look at a pic of Savile without feeling quite unwell.

The cynic in me wonders why the pictures of the Queen doing a Nazi salute have suddenly been released now, and by a right wing nationalist newspaper? It doesn't make sense at all. It's no secret that her Uncle was Nazi symlathiser, I just don't get it? I don't think I'll look at the news in the same way again now.

sadly she told quite a few people before the scandal ensued, when he was simply 'jim'll fix it'. she had to move three hundred miles away during the aftermath.

her poor mother had suffered mental ill health for years and died a reclusive alcoholic two years prior to us learning the truth about Saville.

Now we know how high the Police conspiracy went in regards to the Hillsborough disaster and Thatchers role, as well as Saville etc, there must be other cover ups.

I tend to swing from thinking that there must be loads that's hidden from the general public to wondering how whoever it is that wants something covered up gets so many people to play along with it. I mean, it would just take one person to blow the cover right? Then again, the Saville thing just shows that it's possible. I dread to think how people's silence is ensured.

With the Savile thing, sadly I do think there was a sense that it didn't matter in those days and that's partly why people didn't speak out. I do however find it bizarre that a hospital patron gets keys (!!) and that does indicate that silence was ensured in other ways.

In terms of it "not mattering" to people, I don't know about anyone else but I was quite freaked out by the film "The History Boys". I know the boys were past A level stage but I struggled with the idea of that teacher wanting to be close to them on the bike because that's still sexual abuse. Excellent film in other ways, but that part did confuse me.

I'm not sure why those pics were released now achieve. I just don't understand why they've waited 82 years to do it? And more to the point, where on earth have they come from? Someone high up at "The firm" has obviously leaked them to The Sun, but why? And why did The Sun choose to run it now?

Lemonade, is your friend the lady who was on TV talking about this before the scandal came out? I remember at the time it was said that DNA proved he was not her father but she looked the spitting image of him. It crossed my mind at the time that the results could have been faked due to connections in high places.

Apologies if this not the same lady. Who knows how many offspring there could be who do not even know.

my friend has never courted the media although she is definitely his child as her mum had photos of him and her when they were 'together' and my friend and her eldest child especially look exactly like Savile in his youth.

I hardly imagine that she's alone in her predicament unfortunately.

imo, we are part of the problem. we don't really want to face up to the possibility that the "establishment" is corrupt. After all, Cameron has been trying to keep the lid on the paedophile ring thing and what happened? he was voted back in. he doesn't have any reason to open up that can of worms.

lastuser, I dunno, I reckon we will find out that quite a few PMs knew something about this - well, not "knew" concrete facts but had some awareness.

I think what makes it even worse is that politicians are so used to attacking each other, if you heard it from one politician about another, as a politician, you might just think it was an attempt to smear someone and not even think for a minute that it might be true, just another ugly rumour that you might hear many of in the course of a career as a politician.

The royals throughout Europe, including those in the UK, did support Hitler. They saw him as a bulwark against communism of which they were terrified after they saw their close relatives, the Romanov's, get brutally murdered in Russia.

The Nazis were funded and armed by some pretty powerful entities including major banking interests that are still around. Be warned though, looking into who funded and armed them and what they hoped to achieve is extremely disturbing.

And definitely makes you question the veracity of any official story today... remember that not too long ago Assad was being portrayed as the human rights bad guy and we were funding and arming the rebels (aka ISIS).

Funding and arming both sides of a conflict is de jour for certain interests. It's how they've always operated.
