I changed names because of a real life stalker. Does this mean if they checked my history they could find out who I am? I am a bit confused as to whether I have hidden myself enough. Can people see our old names when we name change then?

There's one particular poster on mn, with a new name that I recognise from Bounty years ago. I could tell you her full name, occupation, her dc's names and the area they live, the whole sorry story of her divorce...I'd even recognise her or her dc's if they passed me on the street due to photos on a different forum five years ago.

I've only name changed when DC worked out who I was!

If you go to advanced search there's an option to search someone's posts. I think it's under "and were posted by" or something similar.

If you just copy and paste the person's nickname into there and click search you can view all their posts.

I only check it if the poster seems so off kilter that there may be problems of a different kind to whatever they are posting about.In which case I'd rather shut up and not make things worse.
