Woman on Bus (Light hearted kind of)

Wondered if she was a more outspoken MumsNetter Grin

Got bus back from Town earlier and already on board was a Mum with her DD (3 or so maybe). They were in those seats behind the driver that some buses have , so 2 seats alone and seats across aisle. I sat bit further back but a woman who got on sat on the seat across from said Woman and DD

Anyway I will cut to the chase .. The little girl kept shouting and screaming, Mum was telling her to shussh, quieten down etc etc .. Well the Woman who was near them kept sighing, very loudly. Then after scream 3 said "Can you not put a muzzle on the kid?!!" . I was :O (shocked look) and waited for WWIII to break out , which it did. Mum of child shouting "who the fuck do you think you are?" her answering "a fellow paying passenger, did you have to pay for the kid?" . Bus driver intervened in the end .

Does anyone else think it was a tad out of order (what the woman said)? Ok might have been a bad day but still

I'd be more outraged at the mother swearing..... but I do appreciate I'll probably be on my own!

They both sound awful, but 'put a muzzle on it'? Vile. I don't swear, but she'd have got a mouthful off me too. I could understand her frustration more if mother wasn't trying.

I'd have thought it, but not said it. I tend to think that when anyone makes loud and annoying noises, whatever the cause.

Woman 1 unreasonable to say, woman 2 unreasonable to swear but not to say mind your own.

I think I would have laughed at the last comment though, it's a shirky comeback but I've never been able to make them myself so it makes me smile. What did the driver do?

I think the mother should have tried harder to keep her child quiet, it's not pleasant to hear screaming and shouting. Both women were just as bad as each other for their behavior.

He stopped the bus lolll Refused to continue whilst they were "raising merry hell on my bus" .. They soon shut up then as other passengers were sighing and tutting at the pair of them . .

Sounds like the driver was the only one in the right.
