I have two beautiful DS's who are old enough now to dress themselves, feed themselves and wipe their own bums. They even go to school so i can rest at work!!! I have a wonderful life and I love the time we spend just the three of us. So why why why am I consumed with a yearning to have another baby??? And more importantly when will this pass????

Errr, probably when you have the baby.

It passes. Maybe give it a year, the need gets less.

Menopause here.

It's been kind of growing for the past year. And so far ive convinced myself that another baby is not a good idea. But now the pros are starting to outweigh the cons!!!! How do you know if it's the right thing??

I'd like to know this too, we have three dc's 6,5 and 2. Life is getting so much easier and we are finally getting some sleep after six long years. But I'm so broody I think it about all the time, only thing is after dc3 was born dh and I were sure we wouldn't want anymore and he had a vasectomy.
Is it just because life is getting easier that I'm so broody???

Ps sorry to hijack!

When I felt the same and wanted dc3 my now exh told me he'd leave if I got pregnant. Though saying that I'd 2 difficult pregnancies and pnd twice and the first time very badly.
It was an ache wanting another child so badly but I to put my 2 dc i had first and be healthy and happy for them. The ache did dampen down as the years went on and i now don't regret not having a third child.

Maybe it's something I will get used to?? Perhaps in a few more years it will have gone away. Just odd I haven't felt like this before the last year but it's definitely getting worse!!

I feel your sadness.

I only have one DS (now 15 months) and my DH has said quite definitely that he doesn't want another.

I find it really hard as sometimes I feel so desperately sad that I will never experience pregnancy again or have another baby.

I hope you manage to get your baby flowers

All of you read the teenager board in topics, that will stop you wanting another one grin

I don't think it ever goes mine are 2,4,6. Just coming through other side even now I'm horminally wanting another child. It's completely illogical. I wouldn't cope, I'm horrible with sleep deprivation. My other kids would miss out, dont think my marriage would survive a fourth but still I have the urge.

I'm putting it to one side now and focusing on what I have now and enjoying them as they will grow up so quickly. I think I may have a major wobble when youngest starts school. At least I work though and that really helps.

I was like this until DD was about 2.
She is Dc4 and there would never have been DC5 grin
Despite DH having a vasectomy and me knowing I didn't want any more I still had occasional pangs of broodiness . Then suddenly i realised it was time to move on and I am so glad I had no choice but to leave the baby stage behind.
I had a weird moment the other day when I felt really sad that i would never be pregnant again. No idea what that was all about as i definitely don't want another baby confused
