My child was attacked again at school, The school contacted the parents, and a parent of one of the children came to my home to bring her child to apologise. I was very emotional at the time. I was very reasonable, and understanding, didn't shout, wasn't nasty, there was no argument. I told her I respected her for coming to apologise.
She's been blanking me, so to make it better, I thanked her today because her child has been making an effort.
Well did she lay into me!! She says I lied about 3 things to her on the day she came to see me. I think she had done a lot of research about what I'd said when she came to see me. She had checked into every detail of what I'd said.
She spoke to me like a naughty child!
I'm still smarting about it.
I think she's not popular with the other parents, I never see her talking to anyone.

oh honestly just detach from other parents unless they are already your friends, it is simply not worth it.
both of you are convinced you are right, and nothing NOTHING is going to change that.
Simply add yourself to the vast amount of people who already don't talk to her, and try not to take it to heart.
These years will be over v quickly.

Firstly I think it's odd she came to your home. Ds has been assaulted several times by one child. I would not have been happy if they came to my house. Whatever the reason.

Anyone why did you try and make better? What had you actually done that made you think you need to make it better?

You don't have to friends with every parent at school. Just leave it. Did you lie? And why does it matter how popular she is?
