Vent your extremely trivial irritations here (yes, WABU)

My neighbour is engaging in her daily chat right outside my door. She has a voice like someone strangling a duck, and she spends half her life having loud conversations in the middle of the street. Her daughter lives down the road and has the same voice, but half an octave higher and a bit louder.

She is also the most middle-class woman in the world and has now been talking for about twenty minutes about her front step and how it improves the look of the street.

She's very sweet, but her voice is going right through my head. What utterly unreasonable things are you irritated by today?

Not sure that it's trivial but having ongoing issues with my ears. Went to the cinema last night no problems and woke up this morning with terrible sound distortion and no understanding why.

Would be trivial except I'm deaf and wear hearing aids and I now can't go to work. Seems fair enough but work is a stress relief from my home life being a carer.

Doctors seem to be fobbing me off enough that the issues have been raised with nhs and I can only go back to ent towards the end of august and by this time the biggest issues will have somewhat resolved themselves.

Is that hard to get them to investigate proper as this has been going on since October. Sad

I'n unreasonably annoyed that anytime there is a problem reported with the Wifi in my (public building) workplace, the IT people ring up and ask 'Alpaca, can you check the wifi and keep checking until it works' because I am the only person with a smart phone...

I feel like telling them to supply me with a gadget I can check with, rather than running down my phone battery all the time.

My hair needs colouring and I can't be arsed Grin - but if I go out like this the Hair Police will have me bang to rights.

I have a sore throat and the sniffles and I don't know whether it's allergies or a cold. I could go somewhere else and hope it clears, but if it's a cold I will spread germs.

Also my coffee is less satisfying than I imagined.

Lots of things are irritating me because I am tired and hormonal. Cba to write them all, I'll just say FUCK OFF EVERYBODY, and dear bus in front of me, if you could go a bit faster than 10mph on the empty 30mph road that would be tremendous, fuckface. (Note - I am no longer in the car)

Dcat keeps getting arsey if I sit on the sofa without appropriate leg coverage. She sits on my shins in revenge (she's a hefty bugger!). It's giving me the arse because I can't lounge in this heat without a bonkers cat giving me shin bruises and the stink eye!

Also, Mr Thunkit's really dry cough is making me mad as hell. Not his fault but I'm sleeping in the living room with the shin bruising cat for the last few days.

I'm pregnant hot and itchy (possibly eczema) which I could accept as just part of life except...

My toddler has suddenly grown out of his shoes which means, instead of lazing in the paddling pool this afternoon I have to drive to town.

He's walking funny, this is not a job for some other day Sad

There are no cheeseballs in my house, and right now it's the only thing I want. But I lack the strength to go and get cheeseballs.

This is mad but I get really annoyed when I see people walking about in the sunshine with no sunglasses on. Why???? You have to screw up your eyes to see anything and that hurts. I know of people who just never ever wear sunglassess (DP is one of them) and it drives me crackers. I keep it to myself though Smile

Yesterday I got very annoyed at the utter drivel that work colleague was spouting, not unusually for her. We got to hear all the stuff her dog likes to eat, and what sort of hair each member of her immediate family has. This is about her usual standard. Thank heavens for headphones and the radio!

I went to my sister's house today and she made fun of my glasses because they are a fairly weak prescription.

I took it really badly and made some half-arsed, bumbling excuses and left.

cried a little on the way home.

Blush in my defence, I am pregnant and super hormonal.

Lottapianos I have sunglasses rage the other way. I hate not being able to see people's eyes when they talk to me. Is that reasonable?

Report
Lottapianos · 09/07/2015 13:40

fastdaytears, no more unreasonable than my Type A sunglasses rage I guess Smile Would you expect people to take them off even if you were talking outside and it was a sunny day?

One of my sandals is too big. V comfy pair, I have lived in them for a good six weeks and will continue to do so for the next few months but the left one is suddenly too big. Consequently I have lost all mojo for the day as I don't "feel right".

I am with the sunglass wearing but yes they go up on head for conversations definitely. Need to see peoples eyes when talking to them.

Lotta I wear regular glasses at quite a high prescription. It's a total PITA changing them if I'm out for less than 10 minutes, plus my sunnies are an old scrip so my brain takes a minute to adjust.

I withdraw my offpissèdness as my mum has decided to come out with us, which means I can dump her in the naice soft play cafe with ds and go for a mooch round the shops. Bliss!

I despair over the packing methods of the packers at my local supermarket. I do not need 10000000 bags to pack 10 things into. A six pack of coke and a bottle of washingup liquid do not bite and can go together in one bag. I would much rather do it myself, but I don't want to offend the guy by telling him he's shit at his job (am not in the UK).

Also, it looks like baby nr 2 is going to be a big boy. Birthweight estimated at around 9lbs. Getting pissed off with all those who are telling me I can just have a c-section. I don't want one unless it is absolutely necessary. Besides who made them te expert all of a sudden!
