AIBU?

To think friend is being rude in expecting me to organise something she suggested

Got a text from her suggesting we meet up with another pal (who has a special birthday this year) and how was I fixed. I replied saying on holiday this week and pretty flexible thereafter. She then responded suggesting that I text other friend when I'm back from holiday to see how it suits her.
So I replied again with other friend's number suggesting she just forward the texts to her and see what she comes back with. She has yet to respond but I'm buggered if I'jumping through hoops to organise this as I always organise everything. Jeez it isn't that difficult to send a text to both of us at the same time.

If she didn't have the 3rd lady's number, how was she supposed to contact her?
You've made your point on here, so don't mention this in RL if you don't want to appear a loon!

My point is she never asked for her number. She just asked me to contact her. We all have each other's mobile numbers. At the very least she could have said "I don't have her number could you contact her" or "do you mind giving me her number coz I've lost it".
Perhaps I should have given more back ground. I ALWAYS end up organising stuff. We've all been pals for years so surely she can make contact without going through me like some fecking telephone exchange.

YANBU, she should have asked for the 3rd friend's number when she texted (if she truly doesn't have it), instead of just passing the whole plan-making onto you. She is being lazy.

Not sure why anyone would think you were a loon Hmm

Umm, well I guess it's notreally the done thing to give out people's numbers. Like you say, how hard is it to send a text? So it's not like she's asking you to do anything major.

This is where you need viber or whatsapp.

Group messages, everyone can see the replies, no one gets left out of the loop.

It's been a bloody godsend for me - the one who always ends up organising things too. All the details on one conversation, others have now stepped up to the plate to book meals/taxis etc.

Maybe she thinks that your other friend will say no if she is the one asking

or maybe she's just a lazy git who assumes you'll organise this like everything else.

Stand firm but be warned that it's likely that nothing will happen for your friends special birthday if that's the case.
