Thudercatsrule Sun 28-Jun-15 16:57:52

Depends what they are doing!

honeysucklejasmine Sun 28-Jun-15 16:58:03

What's wrong with them? confused

MamaLazarou Sun 28-Jun-15 16:58:19

What are they doing to break the 'quiet coach' rules?

Balacqua Sun 28-Jun-15 16:58:32

They are pretty loud

sadwidow28 Sun 28-Jun-15 16:59:08

What's the problem? Bad language? Noisy?

Give us a clue.

Balacqua Sun 28-Jun-15 16:59:25

And getting louder

Iggly Sun 28-Jun-15 16:59:28

Ha. Do you have toddlers?

honeysucklejasmine Sun 28-Jun-15 16:59:39

Oh! You mean quiet coach on a train! Perhaps they have booked seats and this is where they ended up?

Balacqua Sun 28-Jun-15 16:59:53

They are toddlers doing what toddlers do!

MamaLazarou Sun 28-Jun-15 17:00:04

'Quiet coach' does not mean 'No talking'.

Balacqua Sun 28-Jun-15 17:00:39

Yes I do, and I wouldn't sit in the quiet coach, personally

sadwidow28 Sun 28-Jun-15 17:01:08

How is that affecting your two toddlers? If you were expecting toddlers to sleep - well that isn't a right. Other people have paid for their seats also.

SameThing Sun 28-Jun-15 17:01:15

Yeah, you can ask online for seats in the quiet coach, but not for seats not in the quiet coach. Really annoying.

haveabreakhaveakitkat Sun 28-Jun-15 17:01:28

Just point out the sign to them. They may be too distracted by the toddlers to have noticed it. If there aren't any seats in the other coaches they can't help being there.

Balacqua Sun 28-Jun-15 17:01:34

But if the consensus is that noisy toddlers is OK, I will chill out

NinkyNonkers Sun 28-Jun-15 17:01:49

Is it a busy train?

AuntyMag10 Sun 28-Jun-15 17:02:05

Just remind them that they're in the quiet coach.

Balacqua Sun 28-Jun-15 17:02:10

Plenty of other seats!

pinkyredrose Sun 28-Jun-15 17:03:20

Tell them!

Stellaaaaa Sun 28-Jun-15 17:03:25

"Plenty of other seats!"

Then go sit in those biscuit

haveabreakhaveakitkat Sun 28-Jun-15 17:03:36

No, it's not ok for them to be noisy in the quiet coach if there are seats elsewhere.

Justmuddlingalong Sun 28-Jun-15 17:03:37

Why don't you move then?

MaximumVolume Sun 28-Jun-15 17:05:03

I accidentally ended up in the quiet coach with toddler & baby the other week. There was no way I was going to risk leaving my seat and not getting another seat (it was very busy at the station where I got on), not to mention moving the folded pram! I did my best to keep the toddler quiet & entertained & bf the baby the whole time to keep him happy!

I would tell them if they are being really noisy. As in more than quiet conversation. And in future always travel with noise cancelling headphones. They are a godsend.
