He's just come back in with dd who is not even 15 months old and he's put a bloody temporary tattoo on her arm angry angry angry angry angry angry angry angry it's safe to say I'm so pissed off! aibu to be like this? I've already googled how to removed them safely and it looks like baby oil is the best way, any other suggestions welcomed!

Siolence Sun 28-Jun-15 11:22:59

Oil and a bit of a scrub will do it.

Rudeabaga Sun 28-Jun-15 11:24:22

It's a bit of a silly thing to do but not exactly the end of the world.

mrschatty Sun 28-Jun-15 11:24:39

Eeeek why would he do this!! YaNbu. Sorry I'm not sure best way to remove- long warm soapy bath?

haveabreakhaveakitkat Sun 28-Jun-15 11:24:50

I think you're overreacting a tiny bit. They soak off in the bath quite easily, gentle rub with a flannel if needed.

SquirrelChaser Sun 28-Jun-15 11:26:16

I think it depends on what the tattoo is. A fluffy kitten OK, skull and crossbones not so much.

K8eee Sun 28-Jun-15 11:27:08

I probably am a bit but I think it's a similar thing of getting your babies ears pierced and whether it's class as abuse or not. I just said to him in ouldnt of minded so much if she could talk and had asked for it. it doesn't look that nice but I know it'll wash off. I've read baby oil will get it off?

Chopsypie Sun 28-Jun-15 11:27:17

I think YABU. What harm will come of it?
They aren't the nicest things to look but it's hardly the end of the world is it?

K8eee Sun 28-Jun-15 11:27:42

It's flowers and belle from.beauty and the beast so nothing too hideous, sort of looks like face paint but on her arm

Chopsypie Sun 28-Jun-15 11:27:54

It's nothing like getting ears pierced! It's none permanent, didn't hurt etc ...

tabulahrasa Sun 28-Jun-15 11:28:49

It's nothing like ear piercing, it's just a sticker effectively and they come off really easily...easier than when they draw on themselves with pens, lol.

K8eee Sun 28-Jun-15 11:29:21

pierced ears can heal over...

TheFallenMadonna Sun 28-Jun-15 11:29:34

It is nothing like ear piercing.

wickedlazy Sun 28-Jun-15 11:30:12

biscuit It will come off, it won't have hurt her, and she may even have liked having flowers and Belle on her arm.

ASorcererIsAWizardSquared Sun 28-Jun-15 11:30:20

temp tattoo? Child abuse?

oh ffs, you are seriously over reacting and need to get a bloody grip. Its a transfer fgs and will wash off!

DJThreeDog Sun 28-Jun-15 11:30:49

Oh for god's sake calm down. How on earth can you equate it with ear piercing and possible abuse?!

Give him an eye roll an tell him what a silly arse he is, then wash it off.

K8eee Sun 28-Jun-15 11:30:50

I never said a temp tattoo was child abuse. read carefully

msgrinch Sun 28-Jun-15 11:31:02

yabu and over reacting. It's easily removed, it hasn't hurt and it's flowers! He probably thought it was sweet.

haveabreakhaveakitkat Sun 28-Jun-15 11:31:43

It's not even close to being like pierced ears shock. No worse than getting paint or glue on skin. My dc's were doing painting way younger than 15 months.

CordeliaFoxx Sun 28-Jun-15 11:32:10

YABU!! It will come off in the bath, it's not the end of the world and its nothing like ear piercing - and abuse?!?

CamelHump Sun 28-Jun-15 11:32:18

hiddenhome Sun 28-Jun-15 11:32:20

It sounds nice. At least it's not permanent.

drinkscabinet Sun 28-Jun-15 11:32:36

YABVU if you are comparing it to ear piercing. It's a sticker, it will come off in the wash. Would you be this wound up about facepainting?

He is her father, a resident parent, it is as much his decision as it is yours. Stop being so PFB.

U2TheEdge Sun 28-Jun-15 11:32:38

YABU

It's a temp tattoo.

I would be pretty concerned if my husband reacted this way if I had put a temp tattoo on on of ours.

GinUpGirl Sun 28-Jun-15 11:33:05

Over reacting. It is a glorified sticker.
