No. But mainly because it would mean me taking a precious day of annual leave too, which is better used during school hols.
My DD is 7, I do think age and time of year (sats etc) is also a factor.

Very, very unlikely - and never have & DS is 14 now. Depends what it is for - perhaps if it was a family funeral but not for a 'jolly'.

Days out happen at weekends or during the school holidays - more than enough time for days out.

I wouldn't keep my Y2 child out to go to our local museum for the day... But I may well keep them off school in the next few weeks, when I am expecting DC3, we will need to go visit dying FIL, and SIL is visiting from overseas.

I would if it was a special day out as a one off but my dp works all weekend and isn't really allowed to book them off.

No there's plenty of time in the holidays, term time days off are for emergencies and bereavements not family days out. I'd have to take annual leave and face a fine for unauthorised absence, more than enough time in the many holidays my ds has.

Yes, I do it all the time.. Maybe six or seven days over the year. But I don't live in the UK and it is a normal enough thing to do here.
