Mumsnet jury, what is this about? Product below was tampax so it's definitely not that.

Don't want to start a war about the pros and cons of fanny soap but surely an age cut off is a bit odd?

Aibu to think that under 18s should be allowed to wash their fanjos?

Extremely odd, never seen this before. Did you ask the shop assistant?

More likely explanation is they've moved the razors and not moved the sign.

Think theyve removed the razors and left the sign...

Ive just started buying that. It does a better job than normal shower gel. It's over £3 in Tesco. I may have to visit poundland.

Proud..no under 18 can buy blades which includes shavers. Its law. Oarents buy them for under 18s.

At least a 16 year old (who is legally old enough to leave home and marry) has the option of an electric razor - or are they restricted too???

I'm stumped at the age restrictions in Dunelm though (on knitting needles specifically intended for children)

Perhaps poundland, as a company, are particularly concerned about young womens' intimate PH levels.

I've been using Femfresh for a number of years. Helps with my ... Shock extensive psoriasis and extreme itchiness of my skin, even that which is supposed to be kept lubricated/moistened naturally.

Some of these age restrictions on goods are ridiculous! We have such a nanny state nowadays. I remember being sent on errands to the tobacconist by my dad on a regular basis, to buy "an ounce of ready-rubbed and a box of Swan Vestas"!
Not suggesting we return to quite the same freedoms, but really it's all gone a bit too far now.
There was a thread on here last night about alcohol and people of 50 bring asked for ID!

But being IDed is so much fun. Such a good opportunity for a stealth boast too...

I used to go to the shop for an elderly neighbour and frequently bought cigarettes and booze for her. I was about 10 at the time so this would have been in the early 80s. It never occurred to anyone that any laws were being broken.

I was IDd for a trowel once. I was 38 at the time. I also noticed the 'check age' warning flash up when I bought alcohol free lager a few weeks back Grin (I don't drink fizzy pop and am experimenting with alternatives - it was OK)

I work in poundland and if its anything like our store its just been put in the wrong place. I had a nightmare time last week explaining to people that no the Detol was not 2 for a pound its the cheap shit quality stuff next to it , also no you can't have 2 boxes of bubbles for a pound because someone had put a 2 for a pound sign on the shelf.

Razors aren't age restricted in poundland but stick on nails that come with glue are, also the "sex toy" range and baby cutlery keeps coming up with an 18 warning

emms as an actual Poundland employee can I ask you how many packs of Poundland condoms you actually sell? I love a bargain but I find that a step too far. AIBU?

Have you tried castille soap Meow? Another MNer mentioned that her dermatologist recommended it for her psoriasis and it was a great success.

arealpipperoo they were 5 years ago, when my son was 13. I found it irritating not being able to send a 13 year old to buy his own equipment for school.

I noticed pregnancy tests on 2 for a pound last time I was in there. Maybe they sell lots of those if the poundland condomns aren't much cop Grin.

My dd (13) wasn't allowed to buy me a bottle of Lenor a few weeks ago.

2 pregnancy tests for £1! That's crazy. Presumably peeing on a cotton bud is about as accurate.
